Hey, that's quite different to others around here. Good on you for liking jazz and classical! Do you play an instrument? I would have thought lots of people who like that type of music play it as well. Aye, you're talking to a jazz pianist in training, working under someone who has been described as one of Australias most talented jazz pianists. If you've ever whatched a show on the ABC called 'The Collectors' check the credits next time, music written and performed by Tom Vincent and the Tom Vincent Trio.......I love showing off my teacher, because then I just pretend I'm really good as well, and I feel happy inside...

And I at the moment I like Human Nature, for their daggy motown dancing Hmmm... *looks at media library* I've got Ben Lee, and Robbie Williams, and some Bernard Fanning. Oooh, and Coldplay. And Dido and Queen... Weeeee...

Ooh, Phantom of the Opera...brings back good memories from the Hobart College production, Leader of the Pack. That had classic music, but in the change room, I would often end up listening to our german girl singing phantom songs in German. And of course, our own phamton, the Hobart College Phantom......rat. Yes, music, well I love the Ellie Grenich/Jeff Barry songs, do wah diddy, why do lovers break each other hearts?, Baby please come home (the second most popular Christmas song....which our director cut from the play!) and Chapel of love. So many memories, so many good times......and a not so good medical condition.

The one thing I don't really like about this world is that there's not enough jazz/blues music going on everywhere. I really wish I was alive longer ago to witness greats like Ray Charles, Cab Calloway and other genii like them.

We had to watch Highschool Musical in geography (I seriously don't know why), so I shoved earphones in my ears and drew the whole lesson. I don't like Highschool Musical at al. I seem to like a great variety of music, from classical (especially the ones they play on movies and video games - and I mean stuff like Kingdom Hearts, not the rock-style on some action games) to rock. I don't really have a favourite band, but Evanescence, Nickelback and Linkin Park are high on my "like chart".
But when it comes to playing music, I need a bit more skill. I started the violin at the start of this year, and things aren't going do wel. Probably because I keep on forgetting to practice a lot. I usually practice every now and again - basically when I feel like picking the violin up and playing it. But by then my fingers feel stiff and my shoulder hurts. I prefered playing the piano/keyboard. I found it a lot easier (maybe that's beause I played that for six years. I wanted to continue, but my school doesn't offer piano lessons *sigh*). But I still intend on learning two instruments in year 9.

Yeah... I mean even though I have never seen the whole of Grease... why people compared those 2 movies together :S Ugh the singing has soo been altered - it's not natural... I thought of some other soundtracks I liked - Finding Neverland and getting into Pirates of Penzance and Les Mis

I like a lot of music, mainly older bands and singers though ... Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Crowded House, Simon & Garfunkel, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, The Who, Ben Harper ... I could keep going Some people think it's strange I don't follow modern pop music, but most of it I just don't like. I just listen to what my parents put on and like it
