;D welcome all newbies  lol i agree ariadne, i am also fairly new but since i hav been a member there seems to have been a flooding of newbies, probably because the release date for the sneding cant be much more than half a year away now...its just all getting soo exciting ;D PS to any newbies not chosen a guild yet, let me just say that the mystics would be more than happy to have you join our wonderful guild ;D we have chocca and glowworms *waves chocca enticingly* hope to see you all around whether you choose mystics or not |

Hi my name is Larana, it is basically just my real name twisted a bit to have an Obernewtyn feel to it.
I joined Obernewtyn.net ages age, a few years at least, but I signed up under a different name.
My favourite book is Farseekers, but closely followed by Ashling. I read the scene where Rushton and Elspeth FINALLY get together about one thousand times.
My favourite colours are blue and pink, and despite being a cynic, deep down I am a smushy romantic. I love all fanfics that feature Rushton and Elspeth love and I cry during WWF and Humane Society ads.
Actually, until I wrote this I didn't realise how weird I am...

Hi. Not to state the obvious, but I'm Karina. I was searching the Net for some interesting sites, looked under "Obernerwtyn" and found this! I must say, I find this is amazing,loved it on first sight! I've only just joined this site (OK, I joined 'bout an hour ago, so what?), but I've never been the one to post messages at all, so this is a great achievement for me. My fave book in the series must be... probably Ashlings. I read the bit when Rushton and Elspeth unofficially "get together" and I'm thinking "jeez, that took a long time!". My fave character... er...... oh, I know! Maruman! He's always been different and thats what I am. Different. I first stumbled upon the series when I was on one of my 3 hr long library visits. I saw the books, thought "that looks good" and borrowed the first three books. I am ashamed to say this, but I instantly fell in love with them (I have a reputation of hating things. I don't knw how, but there)). I have a serious problem with shyness and anxiety (is that how you spell it!?) but I like to travel far and wide, even if it is only in my imagination. So, that concludes my... um.... message. Now I better send this before I back down and get too shy! P.S. I like weird things. |

P.S.S I also like the paranormal, I am a fanatical reader, love drawing (andone takes my pencil they will pay! [with nothing]) and I ADORE Dragons!

hey everyone, I'm Megan, and a newbie I only just joined Ober.net today cos I didn't even know it existed until just then! deprived...I know  . I stumbled across these books through my sister, who got Obernewtyn for Christmas one year, and I haven't been able to stop reading them since! I absolutely love the Obernewtyn books...and I'd probably say my favourite out of them all is Ashling...cos I just love the end! (I'm in the middle of re-reading all the books again, and I've just finished Ashling...) I think Rushton has to be my favourite character, although I do love Matthew and Dameon as well. Nope, I think I'll have to stick with Rushton . I also love the Legendsong series; absolutely brilliant. And Alyzon Whitestarr. Actually, anything Isobelle Carmody writes really. Um. What else do I do. I got to Uni up in Queensland and I'm studying Ancient History and Music. I work at Woolworths...*sigh* and I absolutely love listening to music. I can't live without my bands (mainly british pop...) but I love it all the same! You won't usually catch me without my iPod close at hand. Other than that, I love watersports (waterskiing, tubing etc) and hate heights and sharks with a passion. Terrified really. But yeah. That's it! |
