Sez, that's great, do you do any equestrian events or do you just ride as a hobby?

Hi guys I'm Faraf. Ive been really into Obernewtyn for a couple of years since i picked up obernewtyn at a boot fair. obviously desperate for the next book i spent a year searching to no avail and eventually ordered the rest of the series from australia. Im here in England, where as you guys know its a quest in itself to get hold of the books. sometimes i wonder if maruman meant bookstore when he said Glarsh... Any way, about me? im really into art and crafts and love anything creative, i think thats why i love to read, because i have such a vivid imagination! i was looking for info on the next book when i feel into this site and couldnt leave! like i said im from England im a student studying Occupational Therapy and love anything paranormal and spiritual. i guess im a bit of a hippy at heart lol i can give Reiki which is a form of spititual healing, so i guess i should be a healer, but how do i go about it? will i wait til moonfair? (this is sooooo cool lol everyone else i know thinks im crazy lol) Hope everyone is well x Faraf

Maybe we should be calling you a Newbie, Tal? Long time no see! Great to have you back on the boards and just in time for Moonfair, mmmm..... do you think we can use this technique to attract back the other Wandies? (I have to ask, that quote in your sig, what's it from? It sounds familiar and i can't place it.....)
And welcome Faraf! Another Pom! Excellent. We seem to be building up quite a collection of the International Obers... And you all seem to pick up Ober from bookfairs or second hand shops... mmmm i wonder how big her fan base really is.
Well, don't forget to visit the other boards, not just this one. And if you're into the creative side of the world, come join us in Writers or give the Dreambook a squizz. ;D

Hi, I'm Deborah and I'm from Australia. *taps mike* This is my first day at Obernewtyn Anonymous. I joined ages ago and participated in one Moonfair. Then I didn't get back until halfway through the next one but I was too busy to participate. So this time I'm going to try to be active. I was automatically sorted into the Mystics but in hindsight that is the place I would choose so the random generator is my friend. I first ran into Obernewtyn at the university library. The book was Ashling, book 3. I read the descriptions in the front about guilds and places and other stuff and didn't really understand what the series was about. Then I got about 5-6 pages in and chucked it back on the shelf as a crappy boring book. At some point in the next couple of months I ran into the first book and was hooked. When I got to book 3, I started reading and then went, "hey, I remember this book." And I loved it this time. I guess there are some series that are meant to be read in order. ;D Since then I've read all of Isobelle Carmody's books that have come out (at my library) and I really like Alyzon Whitestarr. Now, on with the interrogation. When did you join Ober.net? Umm, sometime back in 2004, I think. Lauren (Seagull Fred) told me about it and I came and joined up. Where did your Ober.net name come from?Wasn't feeling very original so I used my real name. *runs and hides from all the stalkers* Who's your favourite Obernewtyn character? It's been a long time since I read the books but I would have to say Dragon or that married guy with the mind powers (you know, he goes and moves to the town, spying). *hides in shame* Which is your favourite Obernewtyn book?Again, its been a long time since I read them. I think my favourite is the one where they go to Sardor and do those games and she gets the bird tattoo. What's your favourite colour?Blue, blue, blue...What's your favourite food?Food. My favourite food has to be food. Although I do enjoy any type of junk food, icecream, mmm. All food. Any food. Some food. Food, food, food. What are some of your hobbies or interests?Reading, surfing the net, fanart (wish I could draw), writing (very badly), music, playing music, computers, computer games (SW Battlefront 2 rocks), Stargate.

Hi again guys, so are the majority of obernetters australian? i guess because the books were only released here for a limited time then out of print the only place we see the books are fairs. its weird because the first two i have are the original design and the last two have orange covers with painted style images to the front. so a bit of a mix!
Im from Kent Dark One, specifically Dover-its the part of the country people only visit on the way to somewhere else! im in a village just outside the town and am surrounded my countryside. its lovely and quiet, though very boring if you're an active 21 year old!
Hope all is well and im off to have a roam to see about this moonfair business, cant wait to get settled in at obernewtyn! x Faraf

Cool! I'm not far from you. I live in Paddock Wood, as small town surrounded by countryside, which is about 5 miles from Tunbridge Wells.

Hi! I'm Annie or on the web i use "Freelancer" 'cos it's longer than my TEXTreal name but hey what isn't? I guess I should say that I love the obernewtyn...and cookies! I guess my favorite character is "Dragon" -and I even have my own thoughts on her real name - I like dragon 'cos of her free spirit and the way that she just loved Elspeth, who always try's to hide her feelings, I also like Elspeth 'cos you just cant ignore the main gal!
What more can I say? Well, I did read through some of your posts, well, hilarious!
Hope to hear from you guys soon!
