Hey, I'm kinda new, I registered in february, but I haven't been around much as my sister did NOT get me 'the keeping place' for my birthday(in fact she got me nothing, but let's not speak of that now).
I'm from the UK, and I'm considering getting the book from amazon, despite the fact that it costs £30 and I have a little over £100 to my name.

it might be cheaper to get it from an aus online book store. i checked some of their prices a few months ago and the were pretty good. but the keeping place is kindof big and heavy somaybe not. i answered ur truth or dare truth.

I registered in february too and i hadn't read TKP yet. I just avoided any of the threads that involved theorising until i had. in fact, i scored a copy for $15. This was cos my friend threw the copy i'd hired from the library in a tree and it broke cos it was only paperback. needless to say, i had to pay for it, but i got keep it so that's a bonus.

GOD DAMN IT MIN!!! You are not too bright are you!!! (this is Shadow) I want to join up to a guild, not email the ppls who run them! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I hope you get my point... Have a nice day! Sorry, what? How dare you? I've PMed you the information you'll need to know. Just READ THE LINK I've now given you twice. I'll make it really easy for you and even quote the section I'm talking about. Guild allocations occur automatically when you sign up to obernewtyn.net - Note: The sign up to Obernewtyn.net, and the sign up to here, the forums, are different. If you have signed up here only, please proceed to the Join form on the main web site to be allocated a guild. If you select your guild upon sign up, you will automatically be placed in that guild on our guild list. It is up to you, however, to change the guild selection in your forum profile, and contact your guild leader for access to the guild members only areas. DO NOT keep filling in and sending the application form if you haven't been responded to on the date you applied. There is a notice on the sign-up form to email if you haven't received your confirmation of joining Obernewtyn.net and your guild within 24 hours of signing up So, was that not explaining it properly? Go to www.obernewtyn.netClick "join us" Pick your guild on sign up. Don't you dare question my intelligence again when it's you who have not bothered reading something.

Hi Shahrazad, im in the UK too I ordered one of the books from here: www.bookworm.com.au/cgi-bin/bookmall/bookworm/index.tam and ordered another from Amazon UK. The Aussie bookshop was slightly cheaper and it delivered all the way from Aus quicker than Amazon could deliver in the UK!

I just ordered it from bookworm.au, and it only came to around £15! Thanks for the information everyone.
Now I'm annoyed that 'The Sending' isn't even out yet!
When I'd only read was the first two, and I assumed this was a trilogy, you can imagine how disappointed I was at the end of Ashling.

But think of how much more plot line we can get in if it's longer!! ...I know, it's only slightly comforting

Hey everyone! Well when I first read the series I thought it only went to four books and when I finished them I couldn't believe it just ended - before Elspeth did her stuff! After all, what else was I supposed to think? The series was started in 1988, and there's only four books out... well I'm just glad I thought
Everyone: She can think? *gasps*
to Google it, or I might never have found out about Ober.net (shock, horror!) you should have seen me! Or maybe you shouldn't have... I was CRAZY... um, crazier... and I wouldn't have been surprised if my parents thought I was ON something! Anyways, since I am now going in circles and gradually slowing to a halt with this, I better wind this up. Bye!
P.S. Welcome Charm! May you have many happy hours of joy here!

Hey all! Yeah I hope it becomes a movie or even as a series! There have been some fab ideas of who the cast could be, and other discussions on what it would be like, check it out in the Therory section and join in!

Errrrr...hellooo...yes. tim tams are alright but it was the temptation of dual flush toilets that really did it for me...so that's why i joined the wanderers. okay... i think i joined obernet last week sometime, cos i was getting bored with trying to explain obernewtyn to my brother, my dad, my turtle...anyone who couldn't run away in time; and i wanted to reassure myself that there are people out there in cyberspace who aren't illiterates like most Castertonians (Casterton, somewhere in the wilderness of south western Victoria....NO BOOKSHOPS!) I called myself Asura cos that is what the Sadorians name Dameon, who is my fave character, along with Dragon, and of course Elf, but my real name is ~shudder~ Cassidy. My favourite O Chron book is Ashling, i don't really know why, and i can't decide whether blue or green is my favourite colour. I think my fave food would have to be my dad's homemade vegetarian dim sims (go vegos!!! yay) and my hobbies are reading (duh), playing or listening to music, drawing IC characters, theorizing and trying to coerce my cat. Uhhhh...let's see....IC would definitely be the best author ever, but i also love Tolkein, Garth Nix and CS Lewis. Oh and one other thing.....last term i asked my English teacher if we could organise to have Isobelle come to our school and i am *twitch* very excited to find out if she can....woohoo! That should do it now....seeya!
