Hello Obernetters! It is nice to be on here, finally. Have been meaning to for a while. I remember speedreading The Keeping Place when it came out when I was in Yr 11, but that was the only book of the series that I was actually waiting on to be released. By the time I got into the Obernewtyn Chronicles, Ashling had been out for quite some time. Since then, I have always been a big fan of Isobelle Carmody, but I've tried not to think too much about when the final Obernewtyn book will be released, as it's been such a long time... I have joined the Ashling guild, having been been persuaded by some Ashling members yesterday I <3 cheesecake. A little bit about me - I'm in my final year of a 6 year Science/Law double degree, and reading is one of my favourite pastimes. My all time favourite authors include William Faulkner, Isobelle Carmody, Tolkien, Carson McCullers and Tolstoy. My tastes in reading are wide and eclectic, like my taste in music, and I love getting suggestions on other authors I should check out. Look forward to meeting some of you soon  |

hi asura i luv ur avatar. its so pretty and the colours are so nice. "through the transparency of now, the future" thats one of my favourite quotes. blue and green are my fav colours too. strong darkgreens and blues. the blue in ur avatar is a really nice shade. im a vegetarian. i used to be vegan. what are dim sims? welcome to obernet. hi.

Well now... hello 2 all u crazy obernewtyn fans out there! i joined up just yesterday and am in the mystics guild... not for any particular reason coz i didnt choose but im sure theyr a lovely bunch (not saying that all u others arent tho). where 2 start....well i called myself Esspess coz of when dragon first met elspeth thats how she said elspeth.. and i thout it was ever so cute. my real names Radharani by the way and im from sydney australia and im in yr 11 at skool atm  my fav OC character is i hav no idea as i cant make up my mind coz i love em all but prob elspeth and dragon (i kno predictable but how can i not!) also think rushton is HOT! *sighs*. um.. dont hav a fav OC book coz theyr all addicting and anything 2 do with the world of obernewtyn roks! i got hooked on obernewtyn coz my friend and my bro told me 2 read em a few years ago but initially i refused coz i didnt want 2 fall in love with a book and hav 2 wait 4 the end 2 come out.. i gave in tho and i read the first while on holidays at my friends place then got hooked and read the rest of the series while i was there lol.. that was 6 months ago only and im bursting with agitation that i hav 2 wait 4 the last.. cant believe sum of u hav waited for years n years i wouldv gone mad..lol. um dont kno wat else 2 say if ur realy interested u culd always ask so thats it from me ...4 now! i love chocca by tha way so there is no dissapointment in being in the mystics! yay! |

Hello Esspess! I know, that bit is totally cute. I am waiting for the conclusion to about four serieseseseses (what's the plural of series?). Harry Potter... Obernewtyn... Lemony Snicket... Inheritance... It is very frustrating! And to think, I used to long to stumble across a really RECENT (aka still in the making) series... I was NUTSO!!!! Well, I still AM nutso, but still... I know, it's ridiculous, isn't it? We spend years waiting for a book, get all excited, then pay exorbetent (sp?) amounts of money to get the book straight away, and the next day you finish, and you look at the book you hold, and go... 'So? ?' Oh, the life of a book fanatic... woe to us... Hello Mystique! Hey, you just posted in the middle of me typing my post! I know what you mean, it took me at least a week to post for the first time, and by the time I did, I was shaking all over!!! I'm weird... |
