There have been about 9 explosions in London this morning. 6 were on the tube network, and another 3 on London Buses. Both networks have been shut down completely. No one knows what has caused them yet. There are 20 dead and many more injured. BBC News This site is being updated regularlyLooks like absolute chaos You can listen to it live on: Capital FM Click on 'Listen Live' (fast connection needed)Update: All London Transport appears to be shut down. No tubes or buses. The Docklands Light railway may be closed, and many of the mainline train companies are stopping their sevices to London. I'll add any other information as i get it

I'm watching the live BBC news feed at the moment.
Aparently there are 90 casualties just from Aldgate Underground station. There are bus loads of walking wounded being ferried in to the nearby hospitals. Looks like they're calling emergency servies in from some of the neighbouring counties

I'm watching it too, and they're saying that the explosions are the works of Al Queda(I think that's how you spell it).

They think there were definitely six. One bus and 5 at tube stations (one aparently on a train). There have been uncomfirmed reports to two other bus explosions and one more tube blast.
no clear casualty figures yet, but 90 people injured at Aldgate station, with 2 dead

it's really terrible- my dad works in russell square and his office faces tavistock square where the bus exploded, he actually rang us pretty soon after it happened because he saw it all from his office. i've been watching the news and i'm quite proud of this country, the way they're handling it, concentrating on the wounded before they start blaming people.

Glad he's ok Maeve. I was hoping we'd hear from you, so we didn't have to worry. They've just shown pictures of the bus. It looks really nasty. I think the bus one was meant for the tube, as thats where the bus was heading. Edit: Bus Pic

good to know you'r okay guys. I'm hoping i see the other British people about soon, because i won't stop worrying until i do... it's hard on the net, people disappear... after sept11, two people i knew through another board just disappeared, and you never know.
This is bloody ridiculous. But any war any fighting is ridiculous. I can't condone this, and i can't condone Iraq. So, i'm bassically torn at this moment. This is still horrifying. You don't solve anything this way.
Good to know you guys are okay, but keep us updated, okay??

Yeah, Lucy doesn't live in London. She's from Derbyshire. It was you I was worried about Maeve, and Lu.
*grugs Maeve*
Glad you're okay and thanks for coming online so we all know it! And so glad your dad is okay. A two hour walk in the rain is a blessing, really.
Looks like the fatalities might be a lot smaller then they first thought.
This really scares me though. Every time this happens, because I'm so scared Australia will be next. I guess that's kinda the point, huh?

hate to put a dampner on the situation, but they haven't started pulling bodies out of the tube yet... from what i can gather. And they won't pronounce them dead until they are on the surface. The two deaths are from the bus, i believe.... this death toll will go higher, i have no doubt... and that's just... well, hell, not going to be sleeping tonight.... I just wish..... *sigh* I suppose all i can say is that my prayers will be with everyone there, and hope it stays at 2....
