The expressway bridge-thing in the city has cracks in it so the traffic thismorning was horrendous. It took me 2 and a half hours to get into uni, by which time I'd missed my 8 o'clock lecture and have a three (...well two and bit) hours break till the next one. I could've slept in! And the traffic is probably going to be like this until the stupid expressway is fixed  |

Damn it'd be crazy hey!! Gah I hate it when you miss sleep in potential!!
My rant is that I have exams coming up in 2 weeks and I'm worried about them!!! I need more time! Sure we would need to know SO much for exams. I wish it wasn't so damn confusing!!
Tis not a very long rant... but I really should be using my time effectively... I come on to ober-net for a break - breaks I LOVE breaks.

i hate having to teach maths. i rock up at school for a casual day and they give me a day of maths. firstly, i am absolutely no good at maths - at all! i was so thrilled when i was able to work out a simple interest rate question for a year 8 student one day! secondly, it is boring being a maths casual. you walk in and tell the kids to open their text books, do the exercises, then you sit down or wander around the room and thats it! my classes are noisy, they are full of discussion and very animated. maths is boring!
i hate trucks! esp trucks towing things! i have a long drive to work on a country road, so inevitabley there will be trucks. they hog the road, won't give you room to overtake them, unless you are willing to drive at high speeds (which i am) but still...rude. and farmers in trucks. why does there seem to be some unwritten law that farmers have to drive all over the road ignoring the white lines? and that they have to drive unrealistically slow? i mean, its a 100 zone ppl - not 60!

MK, i feel for you being stuck behind slow trucks and farmers..my Dad's a farmer but he flies along cursing other farmers who do less that 95k's.
As for connex, I got so used to the trainis running behind time when i was at uni, that one day I missed my regular train because it was on time.
My rant...is pretty pathetic really but....I hate it when you wait around for a phone call that never comes! I even checked the phone to see if i had somehow missed the call when i was doing laundry. Now i will be doing the same thing tomorrow, and if there is no call tomorrow, then i will do it wednesday too.

They were running our trains in Kent for a few years, but they screwed up big time so the government took the franchise lease off them and gave it to someone else |

Ari - hee. my dads a farmer too, and by no means a slow driver! his poor little truck! i'm surprised it is still going!
oh that train business sounds like a living nightmare!
my rant for today - the weather! beyond our control i know, but this morning i changed my outfit four times - the weather kept changing its mind! one minute i was hot, then cold, then it got cloudy and i thought it might rain, then the sun came out again! GAH! because i work so far away from home, its not like i can duck away when i have a free period and change!
stupid stupid weather! our storm season has begun here, so we have four seasons in one day! dry and windy, sunny and humid, then cloudy and miserable with that annoying drizzly rain that manages to avoid wetting you but lies all over everything!

I'm enrolled to vote, but I'm too young (You can enrol at 17, because they might have an election on your 18th birthday or whatever, and there'd be a bit of an issue because you'd have to vote but you wouldn't have been able to enrol. So, I'm enrolled) Cat |

voting is overrated....its cool that we can have our say, but when it comes down to it, no one ever gets wjat they want...well, i don't...
my rant for today is ... on having to wait for more than 50 mintues at the doctors!!! i was so mad! i have no idea what took so long. i understand that ppl are crook, thats cool, but what annoyed me was that my regular doc was not in, so i had to see someone else. all i needed was a prescription, and my regular doc would not have even needed to see me, but this time i had to pay $51, wait 50 min, see this guy for about 5 mins, and get a script!
i don't mind waiting, but i had another two appointments to go to today, and i was late for my second one becuase of being held up at the doctors.
*sigh* oh well...

I HATE THE UNI!!! I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I worked so hard this semester. It was my last semester, and I worked so hard to get it finished, even though I had bloody cancer over the holidays! I mean... you can't put more effort in than that, can you? It was nearly over, and all I wanted to do was be finished, and I was so happy it was going to be done forever, because I hate uni so much.
And now they tell me I'm not allowed to graduate because I haven't got enough "later year" courses, because two years ago they TOLD me it would be okay! It's not my fault, and I just took the advice I was given, and I don't care what they say, this "later year" courses rule was NOT made clear.
It's so unfair and every time I think about it I burst into tears.
And I'm told I'm not allowed to appeal, because it's the rules, and I should have known that.
WELL I DIDN'T!!! It's just not fair.

 oh Kayt that totally bites! i sympathise with you so much. Uni admin are always terrible! i got screwed around a bit too while i was changing courses... thats such bull about not being able to appeal. Go see your student union or SRC or whoever you have, because surely you must have some grounds for appeal! hope you get it sorted out mate! after so much hard work, and being sick and everything, its not fair. *grugs* MK

If i were you i'd appeal anyway. You are allowed to appeal against anything in life (even prison sentances)
Have a chat to your Student Union. They should be able to help you
