I've hurt myself at netball again, this time I've hurt my other ankle but it was in the last two minutes of our prelim final. Now I'm going to be out injured for the grand final for one team and the prelim for another and the grand for them if they manage to win Plus I'm off sick from work and I have this horrible feeling that I have run out of sick pay GAH!

i'm ranting about people who talk to me on the phone and shout and are convinced that they are talking and not shouting. i was just on the phone and the guy on the other end was speaking so loud it was hurting my ear. i put the phone down by knew as I was sick of it. i could still hear clearly what he was saying. telling these people is useless, they do it anyway. i don't like having sore ears.

Another anti-Safeway rant.
I work 10.5 hours a week as a casual. I've worked these hours for the last eight or nine months with another person.
Yesterday, I checked the roster for next week, and both of us have had our hours cut by almost half. This is perfectly legal because we are casual workers, and under the union agreement Safeway only needs to give us three hours work per week. However, it's pretty low of them to do this without even telling us. And the managers know how much we rely upon this money.
So, my workmate and I are considering quitting simultaneously. He was already planning to quit soon anyway, and we all know how much I loathe Sadistic Safeway. It appears that a Coles in the city is hiring people for morning shifts, so I'm going to latch on to that today - I still dislike supermarket work, but at least I'll have my weekends back.

I'm about to quit my job in protest too, with as little notice as possible, I'm permanent so that means two weeks I think. I can't wait....

i'm very, very @#^%$* right now. idiot customers. "my computer's broken". and then another one and another one with the same whinging and pathetic refrain "my computer's broke(n)". there weren't trying to inform me they were just complaining and trying to their internet time for free. it was a problem with a particular website. but ofcourse if there's a problem with what theya re trying to do it's automatically a) my fault and b) a fault with the computer. even though usually it's either because the customer doesn't know how to do what he/she is trying to do or a problem with a website. it's far more often the former and not the latter. i am very p%$$£^ about today. idiots!!! what really gets me is the condescending way some of them talk to me. i don't mind talking to customers and resolving problems calmly and reasonably. i do mind when they are mean, horrid and stuck up. [/rant]
i'v had a long bad day.

Ok, so i have been applying for work to keep centerlink happy and to earn my $28 a fortnight, but i am only in the first week and already i have almost exhausted the jobs i am able to apply for. The rest require qualifications i dont have. Now i have to look at Cranbourne, Leongatha and other places within a 90min traveling distance. Yeah, and who's gonna pay my bus tickets to get there? (anyone have a magic carpet.....or know the location of buried treasure?)

awww... centrelink can be rather stupid at times I've had a really lousey day The short version of my extremely long story was that I ended up alone, very lost on the southside, very late for my honours project interview and very sore and bleeding from an evil swooping magpie. So when I eventually turned up to my interview I was hot, sweaty, smelly, very late and on the verge of a teary. Hmmm.... I possibly didn't make a good impression. The interviewee was nice - though she didn't ask why I was late. I had a good reason coughpublictranportcough! So after missing my train back, I've eventually gotten home to sulk

I was offered the part-time temporary position at the Bureau of Statistics I applied for in August, so I'm pretty excited. Not about the new job per se, but the fact that I now have all the weekday afternoons off, along with the WEEKENDS! YEAH! Now I can really get into the election campaign!

So, I finally got the piece of paper from the Government, that legally says I changed my name from one thing to another. You'd think that'd be good enough, wouldn't you? That a piece of paper with a government stamp clearly stating I was called one thing and am now called another would be enough to convince someone I'm telling the truth?
Most of the time, evidently not. Everyone wants 100 points of ID and it's only worth 70. But how am I supposed to get another 30 points if everyone wants to see 100 before they'll give me any change of ID? The bank wants to see a Medicare card?Medicare wants a bankcard?
What, I have to climb a mountain to get to the people teaching mountain climbing now?
*whaps them all with a big fat herring*

That's ridiculous! How come it's only worth 70 points then? Daft...
Somehow, I have managed to completely miss Moonfair. How did I do that?

Bloody computers!
My computer died yesterday for the final time. I've had the thing for abouyt five years, and in that time its had three different motherboards & processors, and two different power supplies. Its terminal this time, so looks like i've got to spend money on getting a completely new system now.
Oh well, at least i'll be able to play up-to-date games on it
