Are France out? Hmmm, I havent been paying much attention, I'll have to pick someone else then. I'll find out which team has the prettiest flag maybe....
Edit: It seems they're playing Brazil on July 1st.

I want France to get to the finals because their player Zinedine Zidane came out of retirement for this World Cup and this will probably be the last time he'll play on the international stage. He's likethat old horse in a horse race who becomes the sentimental favourite because you know that if he doesn't go out in a blaze of nostalgic glory, he will be put down! Okay, slight exaggeration maybe. It's the same reason I went for the Czech Republic because their player Pavel Nedved was in the same situation. Plus Nedved looked like a pixie with his fluffy golden locks bouncing up and down around his head as he flitted across the field. But then they were eliminated in the first round, so I suppose not enough people clapped their hands and chanted "I believe in fairies" to save my pretty pixie. Le tear *hugs Pixie to chest* Where was I? Oh right, Zinedine Zidane, exiting in a blaze of glory, anyone but the Brazilians. Right. Also, come on! Zinedine Zidane has to be the coolest name since Englebert Humperdink. Edit: Oh, but I don't want France to win the thing! Pah, no way! I'm not going for anyone too much anymore because I have curse on me that ensures all the teams I go for get eliminated and I don't want to see the lone remaining team I really like on the receiving edge of that curse.

Haha Galligaskins - I think we must have the same disease - I was going for Spain and then bam France beat them - I really think I have that thing going on - okay I'll go for Germany this time - let's see if they'll be the next team to be eliminated!

Nonono! If you have the dreaded curse, you mustn't go for Germany! Go for England....or Portugal, but please not Germany!

Oi! Any diseased fans should not support the English team!
Man bets £200K on England
A man has bet £200,000 in cash on England to win the World Cup.
If England become World Campions he will win a world record pay-out of £1.2million.
The gambler, an Arab in his 40s, went to the William Hill in London's Park Lane two days before the tournament began with a Fortnum and Mason hamper holding £50,000. He bet on England at 6-1.
It took staff 30 minutes to count the money which was all in £50 notes reports The Sun.
The next day the punter returned with two hampers with a total of £100,000. And he came back again on day three with another hamper with £50,000, making his total bet £200,000.
A spokesman for William Hill said: "Our eyes popped out when we opened up the first hamper. When he came back on the second day with £100,000 it took over an hour to count it."

Wow talk about a risk seeker - oh and I'd just like to clear up that I'm going for Germany cause I'd like them to win - not cause I want to see them become eliminated.

oooooooooooooh sport thing i DO know about Don't ask me what i think the scores will be because I always jinx everyone when I do that. Needless to say that Saturday is planned around football matches, and I shall be sat on the sofa with my frosty cans wearing my peter crouch shirt! We just HAVE to beat Scholari! He's just so obnoxious and we need revenge.

Hey it's Duo Gundam Wing Hehe Squirt - maybe I will for those teams and then just because you want me to, my curse will be lifted and then they won't be eliminated Haha but I don't want to see them win - after they beat us *angry face* Nah I think I want Germany and England out of the teams left.... oh maybe Portugal as well Ooo Cat-eyes I heard about that too, except I think that Brazil beat the German team in that lego game - just search the net, I'm sure it's up there somewhere - oh and if you find the link, post it up here. Wow, lego soccer, some people just have tons of time on their hands don't they?

Oh dear lord! Penalty shootouts are giving me gray hairs! It's all too tense and stressful and now we've had 2 quarter final matches decided by them already.
