Perhaps you and I can work on a site together, Buneater!
As you can't really start until you know what needs to go in it, I could write some words for the pages, and you can design the prettiness of the site?

I would fight. I would resent those that co-operated but i would also understand that many of them would be too scared to fight. I would defend them no matter what their choice. Unless they stated helping the enemy, then I would stop protecting them.

I'd fight, but that's just how I am. I'd be resisting, even if it was only in a small way. Like maybe just helping with supply of weapons, or helping the injured, or, yes, blatently fighting the enemy. I'd just do it, cos for me, it would be the right thing to do.

I think it depends on how extreme the invaders are. In the start, I wouldn't fight because I'd see myself powerless.
Think about it - at the moment there are problems with the government, but all most of us do about it is b!tch and moan. Many of us already don't like our bosses or jobs but we don't quit our jobs to spite our bosses - we'd only be hurting ourselves - so we stay put, because it's what we have to do to make it in society.
If someone's invaded, they still need people to do the work. We have expenses - rent, loans, bills - that have to be paid. So we must get money. So we must work. That is why I think I wouldn't fight. Because nothing I can do now is going to change the government. And because when it comes down to it, we have to protect our own interests before the rest of the world. As long as I am able to stay in my job and make some sort of living for myself I'd not cause any trouble - because it won't make a damn difference and just make my life hell. I've worked too hard too long now to throw it all away in a big melodrama, and given how much I HATE the Australian government at the moment...grrr, well I'll leave it at that.
IF though - IF they screwed with my life to the extent of oh, I don't know, trying to conscript my boyfriend or brother, I would want to kill them. That's probably what would drive me over the edge to throw in my life and run away to join a rebellion. If someone tries to hurt the people I love...well, I ALWAYS get revenge.
So yeah, it'd depend on how badly our daily lives are effected.

I'm a full blown, all out, no holes barred Freedom Fighter.
Sure, I hate the government now, but it's MY government. It drives me nuts, but it was elected democratically. They deny certain people of certain rights, but they never deny anyone their right to be people. They can be removed by peaceful means.
None of the above applies to our Invaders, and I'm not putting up with that. I'm a gun-toting, slave-freeing, invader-harrassing, peace-negotiating guerilla-fighting rebel.
And if the enemy don't like it, they can shoot me! But it won't do them any good, because the worse they treat us Australians, the more rebels will rise up to replace me.
So far, I'm the only author in the project who values my freedom more than my life.
*shrugs*

Kayt, this idea soooo rocks!! I just love it!! Well, as for all of it, i would have to be a fighter, couldn't be anything else. it just would not sit well with me to watch as everything goes to pants..... i wouldn't be a hero type, but i would have to do something, couldn't just sit and watch it all happen....
fun, fun, fun......

Ah ha!!!
You could publish a subversive, underground newspaper!
You could tell it like it is! You could publish propoganda for us rebels. You could send copies overseas (possibly through Omega), saying "Look! Look what they're doing to us!"
If you do that, I'd say you're definetly a Freedom person.

Could I pretend to be a bit older?
There's lots of things I'd want do but if I'm 14 then it wouldn't be particually realistic.

Yay for freedom!!!! ;D While randomly following links on websites I found this verse to an Aussie folk song that I think fits this issue (and sounds cool ) Then come along my hearties and we'll roam the mountains high Together we will plunder together we will die We'll wander o'er the valleys and we'll gallop over plains And we'll scorn to live in slavery bound down in iron chains

Yay! More people!
Here's the important thing: The whole point of this exercise is that you are you. I don't want you to write an interesting story. I just want to know what YOU would do. If what you would do is keep your head down and shut up, then that's what you write about.
This means you should be you at your own age. I'm allowing people to be a year or two either side, but that's the limit. Otherwise, if you're not YOU, there's no point.
But sure, a year or two is perfectly fine. There's no problem with that.

I've been alive for just over 14 years but my mental age is closer to 19. Which one do I go with?

I would still go with 14 Kitten - it'd be interesting to see how a teenager would negate the country being invaded. Also Kayt, what be of NZ, since Kitten's interested?

Okay, I'll just be a more grown up 14 year old then. ;D And yeah, what has happened to NZ? I was going to just change things a bit and make it so that I was living in Australia but maybe not.

What happened to NZ?
Well, they haven't been included in my invasion plan. But there's no reason why NZ can't be next on the agenda. Perhaps Kitten and other New Zealanders are living in fear, waiting for the inevitable when the Enemy cross the Tasman.
