are you a legally moral sort of person? Sorry, what? Explain. i mean you could fix their problem privately and take their money for yourself.

GAH! I am SICK of people NOT LOOKING AT WHAT THEY'RE DOING when they're INSTALLING INVENTOR!!!!!!!! I've had so many calls from people who've just put in the CD and gone "next - next - next - next -next, oh good, it's installed". Then they call and ask me why their templates are all in imperial (inches) standards. Me: "Did you select "ISO -> Metric" when you were installing?" Client: "No" WHY NOT?! IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FRIKKIN' FACE WHEN YOU INSTALL! So I'm making them pay. I spend the next 20 minutes on the phone with them explaining they have to copy over their metric templates into the default directory, delete the existing imperial ones, then rename their metric ones so Inventor thinks they're the default ones. Not a big drama, but most of the people who've done this have no idea how to copy / paste files, let alone rename them in different directories. My boss reckons I should be nice and write a batch file that'll do it for them, but I want to MAKE these SUCKERS pay for NOT READING ANYTHING WHEN THEY INSTALL!!! JUST OPEN YOUR EYES, PEOPLES!! maybe u could make them uninstall and re-install, and they do it properly this time. that way they have to do the work and they also learn that installing isnt just clicking next all the time.

not much of a rant but some customers can be so annoying. i work in a net cafe and a lot of foreign ppl come in. which i actually like. some of them dont speak much english tho. and some of those get annoyed when u dont understand them first time. and they have such a strange way of saying things, their accent. some of them. and its hard to understand. also, we sell international calling cards. and they say eastern europe(or whatever other name of a card) 5 . and then i ask do u want just one. sometimes they mean 5 euro and sometimes they mean 5 cards. they get so annoyed when i ask tho. and it would be worse if i asked if they meant 5 cards cos usually they mean 5 euro. also, customers taking their own announces out on me. very annoying. but it doesnt happen much. a guy came in today with a phone card after scratching the silver bit and said that the number u dial didnt work for him. he wanted to dial the number from his mobile and there were only numbers for landlines. and he gets all annoyed cos i wont take it back. and we just sell the cards and he bought the wrong type of card but he asked for it and it wasnt our fault. yesterday people came in complaining that the 24/7 (another international calling card) phone number wasnt working. she wanted me to take her card back. her situation was very understandable but it was still very annoying cos it wasnt my fault and there was nothing i could do. the company that makes 24/7 were uncontactible. no website. no customer service number. just an email address. which i sent an email to but they didnt reply. anyway i like my job and the money and free internet but customers are really annoying sometimes.

Ooooh! That sucks! Today I haven't stopped whinging because i have a huge, self-inflicted headache. i deprived myself of sleep to cut out fish. No, i havn't lost my mind. there WAS a reason. I've just forgotten it cos I'm sooo tired. Actually, it was for the nursing home. And I am tired of teachers bossing me around. Like, i was on the bus the other day and I had to get up and move over so the teacher could sit in his fave spot. Just to annoy me- grr!

Do they have any jurisdiction over you on the bus?? I'd have told him to find a seat elsewhere!

*sigh* at my high school teacher's had jurisdiction over you whenever you were in uniform. I once got a detention for not wearing my uniform properly at the shops at night-time (and by not wearing my uniform properly I mean that I wasn't wearing my HAT at NIGHTTIME, INSIDE )

Sounds like my highschool - I got an official warning for not wearing my hat at the shops one night. I was with my mother though, and she rather skillfully pointed out to the teacher that it was her fault because she had told me to leave my hat in the car (she made that up too! Go Mum!).
Some schools can be very... strict about the smallest things...

Yeh, we had these evil little straw hats (but they were that fake straw plastic icky stuff) that looked like Madeline hats that we *had* to wear. And blazers that cost about $200 for a new on that we had to wear...in and out of school...thats all. Grrr! But it was the rockiest school ever.

Apparently our teachers can give us detentions as long as we're in uniform too, no matter where we are And don't get me started on my stupid school "tie"....more like a bow you'd stick on a christmas present!!
...but I actually came here to rant about people who don't look where they're going. I'll be walking along minding my own business when someone just decides to run into me. All because they were facing in the opposite direction, walking backwards, while yelling at their friend who's about 100m away... -_-" And then they don't say sorry, they just look at their friend and laugh and go 'OMG I JUST RAN INTO SOMEONE!!!' ..blah

And as I was clutching my head in pain, this teacher walks past and tells me to 'tuck in my shirt', WTH? i'm in pain and ur telling me to tuck in my shirt!?!?

Poor Squirt, whatever could have happened to your glasses? You don't have a back-up pair then? I know - ask your dog; animals know so much we don't! Just remember that they're most likely to be in either a place you keep dismissing for some reason, or a place you looked a dozen times, but never quite as thoroughly as you could! I hope you find them soon!

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE THE STUPID ONLINE DATABASES I HAVE TO USE FOR UNI!!!!! IT TAKES YOU HOURS AND HOURS TO TICK THE BOXES FOR ALL THE ARTICLES YOU WANT TO SAVE, AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM, BECAUSE IF YOU LEAVE THE BROWSER "INACTIVE", IT TIMES OUT ON YOU.
AND YOU LOSE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE WHOLE LOT ALL OVER AGAIN!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANGRY!
AMENDMENT: AND THEN BECAUSE IT'S SO WATERING CANNING RANDOM, IT DOESN'T EVEN BRING UP THE SAME ARTICLES WHEN YOU GIVE IT THE EXACT SAME SEARCH PARAMETERS THE SECOND TIME!!! SO WHO KNOWS IF YOU'RE EVEN GOING TO FIND THE ARTICLES YOU HAVE BEFORE!??
*STRANGLES*

Really? thats bad. If work is lost due to a computer failure here, tutors will grant an extension if we talk to them

awww.. *grugs catwhisperer* that's horrible! nasty teachers well my rant.... is me I have six rather large assignments to get done by next week and I haven't started. It's my own fault as well, which is bloody annoying. Every morning this week I've sat down at my computer to start and then have spent the entire day procrastinating on the internet *grrr... the evils of fanfiction*. And I do this Every. Single. Time! I haven't gotten a single piece of assessment in this year with more than 10 minutes to spare... and I'm still procratinating

Tell me about it - this is the only site where people haven't called me "Artic" In real life, I have a double name, so people tend to go for the first one and ignore the second, which is really annoying ... so then they just use my initials. Laziness if you ask me.
