My middle name is May. I also have two last names, one after my mum's family and one after my dad's family. But I mostly use the one after my mum because it sounds better.

Eleanor's are: Elizabeth Miranda Mae.
Leo's is Oliver.
We decided to give Ellie so many because we knew she'd be our last baby; we wanted to use up all the names we liked. Leo only got one one because we thought his name just sounded better with one.

hmmmmmmm so many MMMMM names... mine is Mary, after my nan and my great nan ( one from both sides of the fam...) but my sis is a jane.... my parents were not very original with names...me and my sis both have middle names with four letters, and first names with four letters, that are really common. my bro got 6 letters for his first name, but struck another four letters for his middle.... i am wondering whether my parents were as smart as they think they are, cause it doesn't seem like they could spell past four letters  . my dad wanted to call me the german equivalent of my name, but mum wouldn't go for it. *sigh* i would have had such a unique and exotic name, but instaed i am just plain Kate... |

well i think kate = catherine, so it was more the german for catherine, which is Katherina, or something (its pronunced really cool, not so much like the spelling, in that crazy gutterel thing german has). i like kate but maybe they could have spelt it differnt, a bit cooler maybe. i was going to change my name, just the spelling, to kayte, cate, cayte etc, just to make it cool  but meh, i never got around to it... |

Ah, so that explains it. I suppose you could always change your name by deed poll, if you felt so inclined - but it's probably too much bother just to have a funky-sounding name. My Kate/Katie is short for Kathryn, but I've never felt like a Kathryn. And Kayt - you can't prove definitively that you like bunnies. You could just be pretending to throw us off the scent. |
