LiveJournal has died! (And come to life again)

LiveJournal is dead! Argh! (I wonder if this makes it DeadJournal now...) But it's thrown me off. I spent all day off the computer, anticipating my return. At three o' clock, I sat down to start my little ritual of checking comments via email and then I went off to LJ to respond to the comments...

And it's dead!

*wails like an air-raid siren but with tears*

So now I have to completely re-arrange my schedule and hang around here while I wait for LJ to do a Frankenstein and come to life again.

It really makes me realise how addicted I am to LJ. Thank the almighty cheese on toast Ober.net's still up, or I'd be a quivering wreck.

Anyway, I've just decided to hold a "wait for LJ to come alive again" party. There are tim tams!

*folds some napkins nicely and waits for people to arrive*

Once my insanejournal vanished for two weeks. All of it! I thought I'd lost all my entries forever and as you can imagine, there's nothing more sacred to me than my worthless never-ending rambling.

**pours Buneater a soothing mug of tea**

Goodness me, you'd have to be a bit worried, wouldn't you? And I enjoy your never-ending rambling very much (and it isn't worthless) so I'm very glad it was saved.

You are too kind but yes, I was most relieved when it reappeared relatively unharmed. How goes the editting?

You say "editing" and I think of two things. The Gazette and Black Fiddle. My part of the Gazette editing is over, completely printed out by my fantastic new laser printer. My Black Fiddle editing will start soon - the minute I get around to reading the whole thing in one go, without allowing myself to make a single note.

*opens a tub of french onion dip and dips some nacho shapes in it*

Well, technically it was Frankenstein's monster - Frankenstein was the guy who made him, so there's a whole incredible mistake right there. Lazarus did indeed come back from the dead, but the main difference between the two was that Jesus wasn't invited to Dr. Frankenstein's "let's play god" party, for obvious reasons.*

LJ addiction is a terrible, terrible, wonderful thing. This is the first time in my year and a bit of LJing that the entire site has gone down like this. I don't know how to cope! Although mucking around a bit more on Ober.net is helping. ;D

Yes, it was depressing not being able to get into livejournal since I sent my friend there last night while I was on the phone and I know she posted at least one thing (got the e-mail) but I also wanted to send her a link to another thing and reply to her message and all kinds of stuff...

Also the fact that my knee is FREEZING!! AGAIN!! Grrrr......

I had something slightly worthwhile to say, but as soon and I clicked reply I completely forgot it and ranted about somerthing else...

It's weird - I feel as though I've been cut off from something. I was in the same position as you - I read a whole lot of comments on my latest post and went off to reply to them... only to find I couldn't! Hopefully I'll remember what I was going to say in reply.

The frustrating thing is that it's the early hours of the morning for the good people at LiveJournal, so presumably they're all asleep and won't be able to get up and finishing fixing it up for another six hours or so. Waaaaah!

Anyway, try some of this orange and mandarin fizzy stuff while you're here. 'Tis very nice.

You could turn 'I' into 'without my pants'. That'd be hilarious. And doesn't it do it wherever it is, so it'd be like "without my pantst was tragwithout my pantsc" (It was tragic).

Poor LJ people - I maligned them in my last comment. According to their site:

The four of us have been at this almost 12 hours...
