Intelligent Design.
Huh? you might say. Are you talking about the benefits of a comfy chair? while i may be sitting in one at this moment, and i do believe it to be of a most intelligent design, this is not what i am talking about.
Intelligent Design(ID) in this context is the fundamentalist's way of trying to bring science to Creationism. It is where people look at the human form and say there is no way that the human could have evolved into this being without interferance from a higher form. Kansas, USA, is strongly considering (if not already) teaching this to their students as a way of getting out of teaching evolution.
ID is science now, isn't it?
In protest numerous amounts of scientist have pulled together and decided that since ID is the way to go, therefore Kansas school should also point out the possiblity of the Flying Spaghetti Monster
But they don't simply say that humans were shaped by this pastaly being, no, they go as far as to point out that the whole reason for global warming is not pollution, nay, it be the distinct lack of pirates in the world. Yes, good friends, the drop in pirates is linked to the rise in the earth's temperature. If you don't believe me, scroll down and read that whole page, or look at this handy image for you all.
So, bassically, one and all, if you wish to save the world, you are going to have to become a pirate. And remember to keep your eyes open for the Flying Spaghetti Monster who may one day return to us in all his glory!
Argh me hearties! cross posted in my lj

My pirate name is: Mad Mary Rackham Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr! Go pirates!

Arr, my pirate name be... Captain Anne Kidd. Sounds a bit wishy-washy, but the description says... Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr! Arr indeed. And Lix, I swear every winter is getting warmer. I got back to Sydney in July last year and I never wore gloves all winter, but when I was younger I used to freeze my a*** off every winter. So go figure.

Black Mary Roberts Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!
Hey, I sound kinda evil. Alright! *giggles*
