Hey Everyone!
Yet another newbie! Well, actually I'm kinda like Saira, I used to be here ages and ages ago aswell! I think i was originally in the Mystics Guild when i first joined :/ All the hot choco use to confuse me.
It was strange, i had totally forgotten about this site until today i was searching for the release date for The Sending (yet again) and suddenly i was here! Looks loads different to how it used to be!
Anyways It's good to be here again^_^ I'm now in the Ashlings Guild, which i hope will be fun.
I heard they have antelopes :'D

Hi..I'm new...I've been reading the Obernewtyn books for the last three years and haven't looked back once. Well, maybe once, but that was just to see how far behind all of the people are who haven't read the books yet. And, hi.

Welcome Saronyx, Almie, Saira and Flicker! Great to have more newbies who love the books as much as the rest of us do.
And welcome also to Ellara... hope you quickly read the rest of the series... they just keep getting better! (Read them quick before you accidentally come across spoilers on the message boards!)
Any time you guys want to come along to a meet, just post a message on the boards. The best thing about Obernet is getting to meet everyone in person!

hello, i'm talan, i joined obernewtyn.net a few hours ago but i had to go and do something and wasnt able to introduce myself until now.
i made up my obernewtyn name up from whim the second before i joined and it kind of stuck.
i dont have a favourite obernewtyn character but ariel interests me as does swallow.
some of my interests include roleplaying, occasionally writing, manga/anime, and of course the obernewtyn chronicles

There's the obvious, but apart from that, I love my PS2, surfing the net, Sci-fi, Psy-fi, Auslan and Deaf Culture. Are pets an hobbies or interests? If so I have a cat called Leroy.

I work with a couple of people who are deaf and/or communicate through different forms of sign language and studied it a bit at uni and I'm hoping to learn Auslan soon. Hi! I joined yesterday, but I didnt get to do anything coz my sister forced me to get off *sighs* as usual... Anyway, Im in the wanderers guild, because their homepage was the only one I couldnt get into so I opted for the unknown. I come from NSW, Australia, but I LOVE travelling. Cant wait to go overseas again!! I envy all you people who are so close to everything. Like Syrin my favourite Obernewtyn characters are Swallow and Rushton. I think its really cool the way Elspeth and Rushton have green eyes! Ive always wanted bright green eyes. My favourite colours are apple green and hot pink. Ummm...I dont really know what else to say. Ive tried joining a few sites like this dealing with other books (Im a reading fanatic) but Im not really sure about this posting thing...could be fun though . I found this site when I was madly searching for ANYTHING about the fifth book, having just finished another OC reading marathon. I knew there had to be a sequel...but theres been such a long wait!! Anyway, my friends always say I blather on about nothing, and I think i could be doing that now so Ill finish up. Thanks for reading!! truedream |

g'day and greetings from OZ obviously i'm a newbie but i've been a fan of these books for about 7 or 8 years now i don't have a fave book because they all get better every time i read them (currently reading the series for about the 20th time) my name came from my early high scool days when i needed a nickname for chat rooms (don't know where it came from i just thought it up) my fave color is probably yellow my fave food is anything with sweet chilli in it. and lastly i really really really really can't wait till the last book comes out (did i mention i can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
