I don't know if you no about the MS Readathon, but I'm in the middle of it right now, and I've only read 4 books! WELL below average. I am currently struggling through Isobelle's Legendsong series, and it's very hard to concentrate...

Hello all Obernewtyn! I stumbled upon this site today while searching desperately (as so many of us do) for news of the Senders or Darkbane. My mum and I are close to despair at the fact that Isobelle Carmody can never finish a series... I'm an avid reader, apart from IC I love Tamora Pierce and Traci Harding (an Australian author, female heroines and fantasy with sci-fi influences - fabulous)
As for my name, I found it in this calendar I bought one day New-Word-A-Day or something, and thought it sounded really cool. It means the span of time over a night and a day and sounds suitably obscure for a screen name...
Currently I have a passionate love affair with apple pies...... mmmmmm apple pies..... and I joined the wanderers cos it sounds sorta cool - I love to travel and it has a kind of dreamy sound to it, mysterious, y'know? anyway. Glad to be here, especially since I found out about the timtams lol

I'm back AGAIN (although probably no one noticed I was gone since it wasn't exactly months but ANYWAYS) from my latest galavanting around the land of Oz (aka Australia)! (so it was a 3hr car trip to Sale, me likes to make mountain ranges out of ant hills). Anyways, welcome back deb! Hey, you didn't happen to bump into Matthew while you were there, did you?
Welcome, nychthemeron! Me LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Tamora Pierce!!!! I've red ALL her books (her new one, 'Will of the Empress' was great, wasn't it?) and my favourite series was Song of the Lioness, and my favourite book was 'Alanna: The First Adventure'. I also reckon Protector of the Small was pretty good, as was the Trickster duet. I totally agree - does IC even know the meaning of 'FINISHED' It is soooooooooooo infuriating!!!!! Still, at least we can hav something to look forward to! And while I'm on the subject of favourite authors and books, I can also recommend Christopher Paolini's 'Inheritance' trilogy (alas, not yet finished!) and Emily Rodda's 'Deltora Quest' + 'Rowan of Rin' (yes, I like dragons). I will have to have a peek at Traci Harding's books. See you!
