Hello - i must admit i was lured by the cookies but it's finding people who as mad as i am about Obernewtyn that's going to get me to stay. i began reading the Obernewtyn Chronicles shortly after Ashling was released and nearly went crazy when TKP came out and i'd missed the release date. I made up for it by reading the book for an entire trip to Sydney with my family, which annoyed them no end. Ah well. Like most of you i've since been sitting around waiting for The Sending to be released along with Darkbane and i must admit i got a little frustrated when in both 2004 and 2005 i was told it would be released in October, only to be advised i should wait another year. Grr, but as a writer i can understand that things simply can't be hurried, so i'll sit around and gnash my teeth understandingly until March 2007, which is when Penguin has advised me The Sending should be released.
I'm currently 18 years old, working full time between school and uni and making the most of internet access because i don't have it at home. I'm going to study a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing and then after that probably live a poverty stricken existence as a starving artist. Well, that's not my plan of course but as my brother likes to remind me "arts isn't a real subject, so i'll never get a real job..." He can be forgiven though - he's never read any of Isobelle Carmody.
anyhoo, that's about me in a nutshell and fingers crossed the book gets released earlier than 3/07. CC
