John Sheppard is a bit of an O'neill's humour/Daniel's looks.
Mckay is Daniel/Sam's geeky-goodness!
And Teyla is waay too moral, she needs to have more issues. *hands Teyla a newstand*

MINOR SPOILERS for SG-1 season 9 (though if you're in here you kinda deserve it)
Between the events of Moebius and the start of season 9, Jack was reassigned to head Homeworld Security (Hammond's old gig). He's in the first couple of eps, I think, but after that his appearances will probably be sporadic if at all. Apparently Richard Dean Anderson wanted to be there to watch his kid grow up. Don't worry - they didn't kill him off, though I can imagine Jack wishing they did after being in such a bureaucratic position for a few months.
MINOR SPOILERS for Atlantis season 2

Maybe he had grown attached to that body? I guess he(?) could have refused to help, but I figure they would have found a way to deploy them anyway. Did you hear him muttering all the way through the second ep? Gold!
Did anyone else have a problem with the way The Siege finished? Err...radiation people! Believe it or not, the radiation from a bomb that size does not dissipate as quickly as the shock-wave. I won't pretend to know much about the effects of nuclear weaponry, but I know that ionizing radiation is emitted within the first minute - before the residual radiation even begins. Unless something funky was going on that protected everyone in the city, they were all exposed after the shield went down after five seconds and so now they're all going develop all sorts of nasty cancers.
What about the fallout? They've just ruined that planet for years. No going out onto the balcony for they anymore unless of course they're feeling lucky. No more food from the mainland - even if they could convince Teyla's people to come back and brave the acid rain.
Lud knows what happens when nukes go off.

I don't understand how you guys can like Atlantis, it's nowhere as good as SG1! Teyla annoys the hell out of me, and I know this is mean, but the way John speaks as though his mouth isn't open bugs me too. And their leader (what's her name?) doesn't really have a good personality trait. McKay's pretty good though... Plus the Wraith are too scary |

As for Atlantis, I missed the first ep and so just couldn't get into it. The baddies look pretty bad though - do they live up to the hype? I'm hoping they restart it and show reruns so that I can se the first ep and have a chance at warming to the technicolour sets and costumes ;D

The baddies are pretty damn bad. It kinda makes you feel like there is no stopping them, that in any conflict with them you are going to lose, just because of the power and strength that they seem to have. And "sucking the life" out of people is a creepy enough turn of phrase, but it actually being what they do is even creepier. Actually, it's almost as though they are too unstoppable, which may end up making me more annoyed than anything.  |
