Well, I'm not a new teacher, I'm just employed at a new school.
Anyone go to Doncaster SC in Melbourne? I'll be there for 5 weeks, teaching year 11 chem, year 11 methods and year 10 accelerated maths. A scary combo, but it'll be fun no doubt.

Isn't it amazing? I was just idly reading through Yvette's post, thinking it was great that she'd been employed by this school... Hang on - WHAT SCHOOL?? THAT'S MY SCHOOL!! Hehe - I'll look forward to the hassling, Yvette! I warn you in advance, though - I'm a very shy person, which is why I've never summoned up the courage to come to a meet before. Now I'm thinking of whether or not I should wear a badge reading: "Hello! My name is: BUNEATER" so you'll know who I am next week. Although, I must admit, it's not that hard to tell who's the youngest of the library staff. ;D |

Buneater - don't worry about being extremely shy! And like Glynnavyre said... if you come up to Brissie, or Sydney in my case, you MUST inform us and we will definitely want to meet up... be you shy or not. :>

Well, I didn't meet Yvette today, but her name was mentioned at briefing... "I'd like to welcome Yvette, who'll be with us for five weeks, replacing Chris," claims the principal, setting necks craning and heads turning in curiosity. "Unfortunately, she's on yard duty at the moment, so I'll have to introduce her properly tomorrow." So now I have to wait until tomorrow to put a face to the name. |
