Well, we only spoke briefly while I put her details on the library borrowing system in my idiotic way. She was friendly and professional looking and she had a cough, which was apparently a bit of a left-over from the flu. She has smiley eyes and a lovely laugh and dealt very well with my behaving like a nervous twit. Is that better?  |

Hmmm... I wouldn't have thought there was much opportunity to be an idiot or a nervous twit while entering details onto a library system.... I think, Buneater, you need to give yourself more credit! We think you're fantastic! (And you put a lot of hard work into making Obernewtyn.net the fantastic site that it is.)
Do tell us more, guys! I think that's so exciting that you can meet up!

Hehe - thanks for that, Roz! You made me blush quite profusely. <-- See? But really, the credit for doing all the good stuff at Ober.net must go to Min, Clare, Avvy and all the other tekkies. I just judge competitions and try to help keep a friendly eye out on the messageboards. Luckily, though, my news gets better. I successfully spoke to Yvette twice today, without making myself look like an idiot. I even arranged for her to borrow Angel Fever and had a nice little conversation about it. It's not fair that she's only going to be here for four more weeks. They should hire her permanently. |

Buneater, if you see Yvette tell her she should come back to the theories board more often because she was always so intelligent and had heaps of quotes to back everything up. I'm dying to hear her ideas on some of the theories people have come up with!

Will do! Unfortunately, the only time I've seen her in the last few days was at briefing this morning and we were at opposite ends of the room from each other. I could always put together a sign saying: Yvette! You're wanted back at the Theories Board! That might do the trick. |
