I went onto a 'swallow's name' thread and there were so many interesting names there so I decided to make a poll.My suggestion was Kayne - I just luv that name!!!!!!!!

Something else entirely...those names are all too 20th Century English.
Something Romanian...or something from the same area as Iriny/Maire (Irish-kinda!)?
If Swallow is his code name...maybe Sparrow is his real name?

I'm not sure. None of those sound right.
And definately not Kayne. My younger Brother's name is Kane, so it's too close for my liking (And he is NOTHING like Swallow)
And my other brother's name is Virgil. My mum likes old/weird names. Sigh
But I don't agree with any of them. A gyspy-like name perhaps would be better

PMSL Fabian reminds me of "Fabio, the most beautiful man in the cosmos"
So if Swallow turns up in TS saying "I can't believe it's not butter", then I'll call him Fabian.

Remember, Swallow is black. He's not Romanian, he's a descendant of Cassy, who named her wandering troop the Gypsies, because she wanted to make a connection to the old Gypsies, who WERE Romanian.
Cassy is black. I believe that her fellow gypsies are the "trashers" (drug-addicts?) experimented on by Govamen. They are all banded together despite their various different ethnicities and cultures.

But is IC's tanned that black? I'd always thought that Cassy / gypsies had a more olive complexion (hence eastern european naming). You are right, the gypsies are the trashers from the Govamen experiments...they act an awful lot like the Romani gypsies though, that's where I get confused.

Cyril!!!! CYRILL!!! PMSL!!!! oh, i would so love that if his name was so dorky... it would explain why he went for swallow....
...but then again, Swallow is a very feminine name... maybe Swallow is a girl in disguise..
..okay, that is just plain ridiculous...have we seen him with no shirt on yet? and if not, why not??
