I dont think dumbledore could have known he was innocent all along. do you really think he would have let him go to azkaban? i mean he does everythign he can to protect harry when hes innocent even if it means people lose respect for him etc. i dont think hes the type to let an innocent man go to prison for somethignhe didnt do if he was capable of speaking out against it.
also after voldemorts defeat i dont think anyone would disagree with dumbledore, i get the sense he had a lot of power at that point in time ebing the only one that voldy was afaird of.

I think he would have KNOWN Sirius was innocent, but not really believed it. The evidence was pretty damning after all. So when he found out Sirius didn't do it, he was like "Oh! Thank Goodness for That!"

That's because nobody TOLD him. But when it comes to sensing who's a good guy and who's not, Dumbledore is never wrong. I bet if Lily and James had said, "We though Sirius would be too obvious, so we're going to make Peter our Secret Keeper" Dumbledore would have told them not to do it.

yeah i know, peter was so obvuosly bad stuff! but i still believ dumbledore couldnt have known for sure coz he wouldnt have stood by while he went to gaol

I'm with Kayt on this little debate. When it comes to judgeing charaters, Dumbledore is usually right. He trusts Snape doesn't he? Look at all of the evidance that points to Snape still being in leauge with Voldermort. Yet Dumbledore doesn't doubt whos side he's on. Anyone can come to the wrong conclusion if they're given wrong/not enough information on a topic, like Sirius betraying the Potters. But I think that Dumbledore honestly believed that Sirius was a good guy, it was just that the evidance was so overwhelming that he doubted his insticts.

On my latest reading, Herminoe has really grown on me. I think she's my favourite character (other than Sirius, of course) and Fred and George have really grown on me too!

argh! Dont say it! I cant stand the thought of Ginny and Harry being together! It would be AWFUL!
For all of you who have siblings around the same age (preferably the opposite sex) you know that having one of your friends getting with your brother is just WRONG!
And ginny just doesnt suit him.
Do you guys say Cho or chooo when you pronounce her name?? i say Cho, but I have a friend who says Chooo

((reading this whole topic was such a mission...))
The evidance that some one was looking for (I can't remember who) that Dumbledoor is evil is because at the end GOF when Harry is telling what happened after he took the port key dumbledoor LOOKED HAPPY for a fleeting moment when harry told him Voldemort had returned.
The reason Dumbledoor didn't say something about serius being the wrong man was because serius never had a trial, it says so somewhere in ootp, that some one or other was responsible for him never getting a trial to defend himself... I'll have to look that one up.
I really hope that Harry doesn't end up with anyone because I like the idea of him being a lone shark... plus I think he might have to die "because neither can have life while the other is living" or something to that effect... which could mean that one has to kill the other, but I think it means harry has to die to kill voldemort... I wrote a fanfic about that actually....
Hermione and the twins are the greatest... the twins are my mission right now, I'm re reading the books to figure out the little quirks that make the two of them different. (Y)

That is my theory, it is mine, and what it is to." lmao We did that for part of our final project in drama, I was the announcer person, not anne elk though.... I wasn't very good at the voice.

also, I don't think dean thomas is the halfblood prince because JK Rowling says somewhere on her site that "dean's background story was cut to make way for nevielle's which was more inportant to the story line all together" so if nevielle out weighed dean so much that his story got cut (to the point where they don't even give him a line of physical description ^.~), then I don't think he's like to come back to the fore with a book named after him... I don't think it's likely to be colin because he was suprised to get the letter.... I dunno I don't really have anything to support that besides the fact that i really didn't like colin very much ^.~ It could be krum 'cause they don't ever mention what his background is (other than bulgarian ) It could be Seamus... I don't remember much about him I think it might be dumbledoor ^-^ the only think that we know about dumbledoor's family is that he's got a really strange brother. ^_^ I really hope that the next book goes into LOADS more detail about Hermione's life... because she's the only one of the trio that we don't know all about plus she's my favourite character (my avatar is supposed to be her ^_^) ((sorry in theory I could have made all that one post...)) |

My best friend and I were having a debate about whether george was the one that leads ever so slightly, or vice versa... I don't remember which on I was arguing lol. One of my favourite quotes is "yeah, we know our names are gred and feorge!" but then in the movie Harry and Ron's sweaters both had letters on them O.O lol
