At the risk of poor IC getting 10,000 letters telling her to hurry up and finish the sending, the address is:
PO Box 288 Apollo Bay Victoria 3233 AUSTRALIA
But please be nice. We all want The Sending to be the best it possibly can be, even if we have to wait a little longer.
And if she doesn't get round to replying, hopefully it's coz she's too busy writing the book!
Elspethseeker, which country do you live in? I seem to vaguely remember the topic coming up before. Don't worry, we'll absolutely send you a copy. A whole bunch of us are planning to go the launch (which will most likely be in Melbourne) so you'll have the book soon after we do.

I'm starting to get the Darkbane bug too. I think I have like, maybe 50 odd pages left, and then I've finished Darksong. Hehe, it took me way longer to read Darkfall, but meh, I'm hooked now!

Ohhh, I'm more impatient for Darkbane to be released...I only just read the Obernewtyn chronicles, and I read the Legendsong books ages ago! A bit out of order, but anyway... I still can't wait for either of them...

I think I'm more involved in the Ledgendsong then Oberchron cause they are a little bit more grown up and... When I was reading the chronicals, my favourite book was ashling (that I've just read again) and I've found the The Keeping place doesn't hook me as much... I'm definatly waiting for Darkbane more then the sending... Although i do miss elspeth...

Yeah, I s'pose they are more old-ish, but I like bookz that have love n' stuff in them ... god, I'm a teenager, and I'm already into romance .... it's sad And coupled with a great storyline, the Legendsong are better than the Ober Chron, though they both r great I even dream about the Legendsong...

...the Legendsong are better than the Ober Chron, though they both r great I agree with you! The Legendsong books are fantastic and I would definitely say I love them more than the Ober Chron. That being said, I still love Obernewtyn, the book, very much. The Legendsong books are so different from the Ober books and I wonder if it's because the genesis of Ober goes so far back in Isobelle's life. I remember back when I started writing, if I started a story and then went and edited it, I'd be very loath to change a single thing about it. Whereas now, I'm quite prepared to rip my stories apart if I think it'll make them better. I'm not sure where I'm going with this. I guess I just find it interesting to see how far Isobelle has matured as a writer.

I really want the sending too though. i asked my local bookstore when it was coming out today, once again. And the shop assistant also replied with 'October this year'..

Well, I'm more anxious for the Sending
Ledgendsong is better, but I'm a sentimental little sod, and Oberchron has a special place in my heart.
I love Oberchron infinitely more despite it's shortcomings!

Guess what? *Pauses for a dramatic effect* I FINISHED DARKSONG THIS MORNING!!!!! ;D And now I really want Darkbane to come out too! Buneater - I know exactly what you mean about getting attached to certain parts of your stories, and not being able to change them. The story I'm working on now is gonna require some uber editing once it's done, and I know that it's gonna be hard. I wish I could just tear it to pieces without being sentimental, but it's so hard! But you're right in saying that IC's writing style definately has matured a lot since she worte Obernewtyn. That was one of the first things I noticed about Darkfall, and then again in Darksong. They are a lot more mature than Obernewtyn. But that said, I love them both equally, for very different reasons. I just wish that she'd hurry up and finish the sending and darkbane already!

I absolutely adore the Obernewtyn Chronicles and have kind of grown up with them...
So I haven't read the Legendsong books out of fear I won't like them as much. I hear you guys talk about how great they are....
The things I love most about the OC are probably the sci fi kind of elements, like the great white and the way the talents are described in scientific detail.
I also love scenes such as the battlegames or that devastating scene in the keeping place where Elf helps rescue all the tortued people out of the herder cells.
Some of the dreamtrails stuff and where it gets a bit more fantasy... not such a big fan.
So are the Legendsong books a bit more in that 'fantasy' realm than realistic-type realm?

The Legendsong series is a stark cross between both the real word and a similar parralle world... It's funny because when you read it - after being so use the world of OC - to read a mixture of both our world and another seemed quite strange to me... I'm the same as you Roz... I was lucky when I read OC that each time I got a new book I was a lot the same age as Elspeth and feel like I grew up with her and everbody else... Though Darkfall was a good change and now I feel a lot the same age as Glynna and Ember the characters the book is based around... The books are written very differently to OC and it took me a while to fully grasp the whole thing... in fact, I don't think I quite understood the whole story until I re-read Darkfall a while later... They are different characters but there is a slight resemblence to OC and some things in both books are the same thing but different names... Like somebody has said before " I love both series, just for different reasons
