From memory, I think The Sending was in planning to be finished soon - at least by the end of the year - but it may not actually be published for a while after that, cause publishers are silly like that

Yeah, they have to get quite a few people to read it, and they usually take a while because they receive thousands of manuscripts each year, then they have to find an illustrator. The list goes on...

(Angel Fever was one. Apparently it's part of a series already written by other authors? *shrugs* I can't find it)
So, i don't think The Sending will be out by then. BUt i really dont know.

I'm not expecting the sending until around the end of next year. I heard the date was oct 2005, so that's what I'm going for. As for Darkbane, well I'm still reading Darksong for the first time, so I'm not really hanging out for it yet. But I'd expect that it will be out after the sending, cos I read somewhere (Possably in one of the interviews posted on ober.net) that the sending was her next big project.

um i heard someone who writes to isobelle carmody say a few days ago on here that it would be out later next year i think, hang on ill try and find out who it was and what was said

ok i finally found it, ros said on the quest for the signs thread basically that its her next project after she finishes what shes working on at the moment, ros predicts that it will be out either next year but late or early the year after. i would really prefer october though, i have been for like ever to finish this series, its actually the only series except hp, that ive had to sit and wait for books to come out. its driving me crazy

Thanks Talmina. Yep, got a letter from IC a few weeks ago. Here's what she said:

"The book I am writing now is called Alyzon Whitestarr... I am very close to finishing the book, and my next project is to finish The Obernewtyn Chronicles with the final book, The Sending. I've been working on it over years, but it will at last become my primary project."

So there you have it. I wouldn't have your hopes up that she'll finish her current book, have it edited and published, then finish The Sending, and have THAT edited and published all before October this year!

ok after making that post i decided that i would do some more serious research into the matter,

Angel Fever, her latest book was released on 1st of may this year accoring to angus & robinson, it may be the book she was writing to ros about but not sure. so everyone guess what the the chicken wanderer is doing tomorrow....

according to another member there kelleth said IC was talking to them at a writers festival and said she was almost finished the sending but wasnt sure when it would be released due to publishers being odd when it comes to release dates

accoriding to www.sprint.net.au/~chomberg/sf.htm which is run by her cousins husband says that Angel Fever is the book she was telling ros about so shes working on the sending now, or shes finished it and is waiting for it to be published, hey for all we know she could be writing up who the destroyer is while i write this post. All of you with little peoples in your life will also be pleased to know she finished the text to another childrens book which is titled Little Fur and we can only assume is in the process of being illustrated or published

well that does it, ive done enough research for tonight and its just making me more excited and long for the sending even more so im gonna stop now

As for The Sending, I predict that it will be out no later than this time next year. If she's planning on making it her main project soon, include a couple of months for the editors, it should be arriving by our sides no later than July 2205, at the latest!

Oh elfseeker! You wont get it for a fair while after us! You'll have to order a copy so you can read it!!!
