It 'tis most definately a name. Just read 'Daughter Of The Forest' by Juliet Marillier. It is an Irish name but I can't help getting this piratey vibe from it.

i love the names from daughter of the forest too..i haven't actually read it yet( ), but my friend has, and wrote a list of the names and their pronunciation out for me, since she liked them so much as well
