What about The Farseekers and Ashling? She cant stop herself from thinking about him!! Even in The Keeping Place, shes still thinking about him!!
She may love Dames, but its strictly platonic. She doesnt think of Dames that way, and she just plain doesnt want him that way!
And this stuff about Dameons empathy helping her, and about her needing it, well, she doesnt!!
is dames gonna be there with her on her quest? No!! Shes got to go without any kind of help, thats why IC got rid of both Dames and Rushie in the Keeping Place, she wanted Elf to start doing stuff for herself, and to have to be in control without any support from friends or her fiancee
And you're right!! she did great without either of them!!

So you get a biased account. But read between the lines, he's aggressive, possessive, and a great leader?? come off it! He sent his strongest empath, the person who holds obernewtyn together, away because he's possessive!!!!! That's not a sign of any great leader, no matter how you read it. Nah, Damo is sooooooo the best! (even if he is the Destroyer) btw: I like elspeth for her drongo-ness, so it is not an insult, it's just the only way you can explain some of her.... concepts? Rushton DID NOT send dameon away!! Dameon wanted to leave, and it was the reason he was in Sador!! Hes meant to use the info he learns there later in the book or something, but thats besides the point!! Rushie is not aggressive and possesive!! So what, he didnt want Elf to go out and nearly kill herself again. And aggressive?!!  Are you reading the same book as us?!!! |

Oh, he so is aggressive, just not in your open sort of way, like Malik. Read the first book again, that's the best unbaised Rushton view you are ever going to get, and sure isn't a nice one.
