Yeah, i know KSL has done a similar thread, i just want to pinpoint, the exact part of whichever book it was that made you go, "Oh My God!!! Not him too!!"
For me, it was the end of the first book, it was easy to tell that Rushton was gonna be the love interest in the story, and when it said that when Rushton asked if Elf was going to stay, and that he said it much the same way as Dameon, that was it.

I can't remember much either - I'm pretty sure it was considered in Ashling when he stayed and Rushton was like 'I know why you'd stay'...GRRR!!!! Don't rub it in or anything you b@stard!! How mean was that?
*coughcough* anyway, I didn't know for sure until IC confirmed it on here.

i will always be on rushtons side of things but, i knew dameon started liking her in the first or second book. but i want rushton for myself so i'd say anything

I had the feeling dames loved elf, but dismissed the idea. Rushton's the only one for elf. soz.

well i new nothin of it..and still cant really see it...ive got to look harder me thinks.... i fell off my chair when i read IC's comment in an interview saying it...no matty is the brother love...but rushton is still best!

I figured it out in Ashling. I kept wondering 'why the hell did rushton say "I know why you must stay"?' and then it just sort clicked and i went "OH MY GOD!" and started laughing like a maniac. Yesh.

I always had the idea in the back of my mind that the friendship between Elf and Dameon meant more to him than she realised. It was just fantastic to have all my suspicions confirmed in Ashling, although I could have clawed Rushton's eyes out for the way he went about rubbing it right into Dameon's wounded heart. Curse ewe, Rushton!  |

well if dames really likes elf he should at least let her no! cos come on elf cant tell/notice a thing!! u have to shove it in her face at the best of times (and even then she doesnt realise). so htere is no point in just sittin there hoping cos its never goin ot happen. dames has to take an active role!!!!!!!! hes a lazy so-n-so

Ah, but there are different kinds of strength, dear Heartofthedarkness. Sometimes, it takes a lot of strength to look a complete, well, wuss (for lack of a better word). Dameon respects (and loves) both Elf and Rushton too much to hurt either of them. Ha! |

well if u no ur love loved someone else who inreturn loved them...then wouldnt u stay out of it too. so its not his fault. but he realises rushton and elf are ment for each other -well at least they feel like it.
