I don't know about that...are you SURE they're meant for each other? I've known people in relationships like that...I've been there myself too - and they always end badly. The kind of relationships where both parties are (ok...trying to be nice) control freaks. Where the unspoken actions of one party can result in so much confusion and hurt in the other party...emotional turmoil resulting on obsession...I dunno, from a realistic point of view it looks to fail. Dameon though...again I'm making it personal. When I've fallen for guys like Rushton (gorgeous-self-centred-possessive-etc - yes, I'll admit it's attractive at times with their Robbie-Williams like arrogance), I've ended up confiding in people like Dameon...and ultimately going out with the latter and having loads more fun, feeling loads more secure, and being 100 times more happy! But then...I'm not Elspeth (though the Wanderers quiz deduced that Elspeth was my twin ).

deep... real deep. i think you've hooked that one min!
BUT! rushton's changed! you see, *if you havent read tkp please divert your eyes!* he's changed- lots. he got delirious right? & he changed! he's timid now, yes, but he'll probably be more sensitive, understanding & caring when he fully recovers from the trauma.

hold up, hold up in those brief moments that rushton was actually in the Keeping Place, when was he self centred and possessive? in fact, when was he really self centred in the other books?
