I give thanks for not having to bear the burden of brown shoes. My thoughts are with you.

I must admit I'm quite glad that I did have to wear brown school shoes. Our uniform would have looked mighty ridiculous with black shoes.

Our uniform would look terrible with black shoes too ... but if they change the colour of the shoes, wouldn't they then have to change the whole uniform too? [Insert evil smiley, why is there no evil smiley? ] Chocolate Johnny Depp? Mmm, double as yummy! ;D

The problem with changing our brown shoes is that we'd end up looking exactly like another girls school who have pretty much the same uniform as us, but with black shoes. Steal our unifor will you! *shakes fist belligerently*
Chocolate Johnny Depp: he'll melt for you just like we all melted for him!

I do like Johnny Depp, but the fact that he is two years OLDER than my dad makes it hard for me to like him at all.

Yeah, true true. But the important thing is that he doesn't look it, thus allowing us to slide back into delusion land!
My rant is about FRIGGIN' Alloc8. It's the online system that allows you to change your university timetable...except EVERY single one of my subjects seem to have all their classes full. Argh, the frustration! Actually the only reason I'm so worried is because I want, nay need, to change one of my subjects and right now, its lecture time is clashing with one of my tutes, which can't go anywhere because all the other tute times are either full or already taken up with immovable chem/bio tutes/pracs and the like! I can't do another semester of History and Philosophy of Science, I just can't! I just hope I can still get into Comtemporary Lit somehow. *crosses fingers and sacrifices a P.E. student to the Gods for luck*

I understand your pain Galli!
But then, I may well be the only person in the Universe who swaps courses I actually wanted to do, so as to avoid having to cross the oval, or to allow me Fridays off Uni.

nope, your not the only one Kayt. I swapped developmental cell biol. for psycology so I could get every second Friday off A full week of uni is just too evil to contemplate *grumbles about course loads* 36 contact hours a week is not fair!

Holyfriggincrap! 36 hours? That's terrible Lauren! *hugs* [Here, have a consolation biscuit! Lauren: Uh, this is a coaster.] And here I thought I had it bad with 20 hours, when all my arts friends have 10 *GLOWERS at them*
Hmm, I wonder how one actually glowers? Sorry, tangent! I completely support your decision to escape this dreaded idea of 36 contact hour weeks. GOOD ON YOU! *hands you a medal* Lauren: Uh, this is another coaster. Hmm, well atleast now you can start a collection! YAY!

Ten hours! Which uni are they at, the swines!!! I get 12!!! But then again... as I never go to lectures I should shut up.
36 hours, Lauren!!! That's longer then a working week!!!
*grugs Lauren*
Here, I think you've earned something very special! *hands Lauren a baby dual flush toilet*
Of course, I've had it neutered. Can't have you handing them out to non-Wandies, now!
*extra grugs for the apparant insanity of your uni*

36 hours of Uni is beyond imagination for me. You deserve all the coasters you can get Lauren. Trisfit does a 50 hour working week and gets up at 3:45 a.m to do 3 hours of Uni every weekday morning. It sucks. I am his support person. So it works fine until I start Uni next semester the we both need a support person. Such is life I guess.

My rant is that I've got this really old science teacher who dislikes me very much and who allways finds a way to get me in trouble. She sent me outside for no reason, and when I tried to question her to ask her why she gave me a detention. Bah to her!! Good Riddence.

awww thank you Galligaskins and Kayt *puts coaster in treasure chest and cuddles baby dual flush toilet* I'm down to 32 hours now and I (moslty) love the work. It's my own silly fault anyway - I chose to take the extra research subject and I love it too much to drop it
poor Kaylan *shakes angry fist at science teacher*

God, when i was in year 9 i had the worst science teacher on the planet. She really just HATED me. I mean, i was disruptive, i couldn't help it, but not as much as some of the girls i sat with. But she would single me out (i was the new girl after all) and tell me how awful i was. After the first test we had (which i trumped, i floored everyone on it, got near perfect marks) she came up to me and said "I don't think you should be in level one science" To which i replied "So there is something higher?" no, i didn't actually, i only thought it much later on. What i did there was go, "You really hate me, don't you?" i have a habit of asking that at the wrong time.
Funny thing was, after getting an A for that class, i was moved down to Level 2 Science the next year. she really really really didn't like me. The stupid bloody leprechaun that she was.
So, feeling your pain, Kaylan, some teacher i think, start to really hate their jobs and take it out on their students. Mind you, i wasn't the best of students, but i wasn't the worst, she just picked on me because i was easier than some of the others. New, and so didn't know the system so she could make my life a living hell... oh well, in the end i gave back as good as i got

eh *shrugs* year 9 was a long time ago for me. And that little leprechaun left the following year. I didn't get a long with a lot of teachers at Merici (the all-girl's school from hell) which was kinda funny cuz i'm a bookworm and i love to really discuss issues. (Kayt would say i like to debate everything, doesn't even have to be an issue). So, i alienated a lot of teachers through Religious Education, because i could nevee sit there and take it at face value, i'm not Catholic to begin with, and i actually enjoy discussing theology, so i knew a bit before i started. And they never seemed to want to discuss it, which i thought was wrong. I remember one of my friends got a detention for saying that purgatory was quite pointless when you think about it. Said in the nicest of ways. I said a lot harsher things, and ended up failing a lot of the time. But i learnt a lot from religious ed, and you know what, when conservative catholics start ranting about homosexuals going to hell, or that abortion is wrong, i've got a good store of knowledge to combat that. so i can't fault going there too much.
