yeah. i think its getting more and more common - bad parenting. (caused i think from a sense of guilt bout not being around as much as they'd like) and it leads to spoilt brats that no one wants to be around. I hate kids thesse days n feel ur pain rigel n kayt. flitness, i sympathise with u 2. that must be so infuriating

yeah. i think its getting more and more common - bad parenting. (caused i think from a sense of guilt bout not being around as much as they'd like) That's exactly what I think! These days, you'd be hard-pressed to get by without both parents going out to work and naturally, they must feel terrible about having to put their kids in child-care or after-school care. How can you properly discipline a child when you feel guilty about "abandoning" them? It's just not possible. It's completely understandable, but I'm not eager to see the results of it in twenty years or so, when all these indulged, self-obsessed children are released into the real world and have to suddenly learn that it's not all about them. * I know some parents are quite up to the challenge and I admire them for it. It just makes me incredibly grateful that my mum was able to stay home and look after us all. It was an amazing sacrifice and I appreciate it even more these days. * This is not to say that all kids who grow up these days are going to be like this, but I used to work in a secondary school and I'm speaking from experience, not wild speculation.

Parents these days expect teachers to discipline their kids and too teach kids the manners and behaviour parents are supposed to teach.
But what with laws being harsher now, teachers CAN'T discipline students any more.
So where are they going to learn good manners and decency?
Hehe... Back in my day...

i think parents need to stop feeling guilty about having to put their kids into after school care etc, as it is a good way for them to interact with other kids as well, even if i was a stay at home mum i would put my kids in day care a few days a week so that they have the chance to play with other kids and get used to being around other kids. its especially important with only children who dont have other siblings to play with. though of course it does mean that parents need to spend time with thier children in the evenings (helping them with homework etc.) and on the weekends. but this is the same with any parent who works, or the child becomes far to dependant on the other parent and they end up not knowing or understanding their child.

well, if you're on a pony, you could gallop under the legs of the horse your sisters riding, and loosen the sadle strap?

Thats basically what I think about boyfriends most of the time. But its hard for me to think like that because my best friend is REALLY into boys and gets a new boyfriend every weel. I am happy to have a boyfriend, but I don't want to have one for the sake of it, like she does.

Ooh, that's happening to me in reverse. He breaks it off with me. We decide to stay friends and although it's kinda hard for me, i've accepted it. He can not be bothered making any effort with the friendship [ie calling/writing/arranging stuff] and obviously expects me to do it. Probably because he's all busy with his new girlfriend [who is unfortunately really nice, so I have no right to b!tch about her]. I am trying to make things better and he just doesn't care. BAH! It's all so annoying and CIVIL! But I have very little to be bitter about and that's annoying the heck out of me even more! And I really don't like it when I use exclamation marks more than twice in succession! This is stupid, I'm going to go and eat a green-bean icypole...yes, during winter...at night *trundles off grumbling under my breath*
