Okay:
Show me two instances of Freya being mean, and two of her being tarty.
One off instances aren't good enough, I'm afraid! I want to see proof that Freya is a bad person

aww, what's wrong with Freya?? yes, when she and Rushton were on the boat together and Elf thought there was something going on i was like WTF?! HOW DARE SHE!!! but i'm over it now...she seems nice enough!  |

Yes, but FREYA DIDN'T KNOW ELSPETH!! She'd never even met her until they went to Sador.
Of COURSE she didn't need much convincing - here came this good looking hero on horseback who saved her from her abusive father!! Here's a young girl CRYING OUT for some love and caring, and Rushton was the first one to show it to her!!
And after the Rushton / Elspeth episode in Sador SHE DID BACK OFF!!!
I totally feel that Freya is a victim in all this. She's also rather pathetic...but in the case of Rushton, she's totally innocent and in her rights to fall in love with whoever she wants.
*links arms with Kayt - not for the first time!*
Go on - fight us on this!

VICTIM!?!!!?! VICTIM!?!!OH GOD MIN... GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!!!! EVERYBODY knew rushton had feelings of love for Elspeth... Freya is an EMPATH it would have hit her right off your feet when she first met him that there was somebody else in his life! so she starts to get feeling for him and goes 'up yours' to Elspeth behind her back, empathizes everybody else that shes so wonderful and innocent and then goes in for the kill... She the last VICTIM in this whole scenario!!!

I thought Freya was an Enhancer? Her empathy is very weak too. But think about the Empath ability - what is it? The power to feel emotions. Emotions don't personify - they're general. So when Rushton was going all goo-goo over Elspeth, she could have easily misinterpreted him.
Anyone who has a crush will make all sorts of connections and excuses that aren't really there, to give themselves hope.
But she DID back off! I totally feel sorry for her. It was the same sort of thing that happened to Eowyn in LotR (the movie anyway - I'm not sure what happens in the book, sorry) with Aragorn.

I've always liked Freya and was barricking for her to win Ruston's love so that Dameon would feel free to tell Elf what he thought of her although now that Freya's with Cier' I've realised he's so much more deserving of her than Rushton. I don't know maybe Elf will still get to be with Dameon, but that leaves Ruston alone. hmmm..... maybe Ruston could become the mad old hermit of Obernyton when everybody's left ;D |
