Why do we like Dameon, and others Rush? A study.

MIN... no, the advice is good. I'm finding it helps just to tell all of you my story and get it out of me... Plus i'm giving you some background knowledge of me so that when we do FINALLY meet we'll have lost to talk about and won't be shy (Not that I'm a shy person!) (And not that we won't have HEAPS to talk about!)

I was annoyed with Rushton when he made comments to Damo and Elf that time and also when he just wouldn't go and tell her how he felt and get everything in the open but I was very happy for him when they finnally did hook up cause he'd been though alot with her before that... She had pushed him away SO manyt times before that it's a wonder he didn't just walk away... But, I don't know same old arguement... Rushton and Elspeth were meant for each other

Dameon needs somebody a lot softer then Elspeth, more comforting...

Surely it's up to Dameon to decide for himself what kind of girl he needs.

He's hardly a man out of touch with his feelings. He's in love with Elf, and if he feels that she's the right girl for him, that ought to be good enough for the rest of us.

'No' you say? Why, then, I ask you, did he put up an emotional barrier between them if not because he couldnt stand the feelings that he got from elf, knowing that she loves Rushton?

I'd put up a wall to stop emotions if I'd just lost my best friend! Why would Dameon be any different?... Plus he's an empath, it would near kill him if all those emotions Elspeth has about Matthew came flooding towards him...
It's a natural reaction... I don't think the wall was there because of Rushton, I think that it was built because of Matthew.
I have no doubts that Dameon has feelings for Elf but it happens in many books that two guys chase the same girl (Not that Dameon seems to be chasing) Not everybody can come away happy...

I also took it so he wouldn't pass on any empathy of love towards him unknowingly and so she wouldn't feel his talent transmitting what he felt.

She can't feel emotions... So it doesn't matter that he might project to her love cause she doesn't have the talent to read it... Yet I'm sure somewhere in all the books it might have a scene where he does project love/like emotions and there is another empath in the room to read it and they react to it...
maybe not...

You know what my immediate reaction was after reading the last few posts for some reason?
Elspeth and Rushton deserve each other. Because they're both as stupid as each other!! lol. Dameon deserves someone else, you're right Glynna, someone who won't completely overlook his love and shut herself off emotionally from the world.
But...I totally think that if Elspeth and Dameon did get together, he would bring her emotions to the surface, help her work out her demons (rather than only focusing on his own *glares at rushton*) and be totally endearing and supportive. Damo would be better for Elspeth, but she's too silly to realise it!

Maybe Dameon and Kella? Kella certainly in need of some emotional healing, plus she's got a nicer temperament than Elf.

I dont think that Dameon would be better for elf (obviously) I think that the person that suits her best is the person that makes her feel happy, loved and safe, whether it be Rushton or not.
But we know that she does feel those things for Rushton, all those things to whispered to him in TKP and how her heart ached when she thought he was with Freya... she definitely loves him, and if thats who she needs, then good! Especially for Rushton!

But don't all you Dameon supporters see?! this is part of the enigma of Love... You don't know where it is going to come from or whats going to happen... Dameon is probally so drawn to Elspeth thathe cannot see that special someone sneaking up behind him to sweep him off his feet... To be his everythought and all of his energy... He doesn't need Elf, as much as he wants her I think somebody different and out of the blue should be apart of his life and give him the opportunity to REALLY love and happy. Without thinking about his friends or hurting anybody eles...

Cause didn't love come out of the blue for Rushton and Elf, with him carrying a pig on the farms?!
I think he WILL be truely happy....!

I think Dameon should be with someone that he would be able to express his love with. Maybe even someone from Sador, I mean he was there for a while... maybe there was a special someone that he just didnt realise was there.
Miky and Dameon would never ever work! Even the thought of it is wrong for me....

I think Miky is too young for him anyway...

The enigma of love (Ponders) I like how that sounds it also reminds me of the relationship I'm in. I had shily ask a girl out and 7 months down the road we are finding that we have a lot more in common than diffreances. Also we like talking to each other about ever conserning thing. One more note is to say that our relationship is nothing of what we expected.

well this is sooooooo much for me to catch up on that i really cant. but wat i want to say is...i think the ppl who chose blyed/dames are not as surface valued. like they have/do see things that lay benieth the surface...im likeingrushton/solen cos thats wat i can see and thats wat im being told...like their love/romance ways are obvious...i get so wrapped in it and blyed/dames havent had the chance to show that side so im kinda blinded...basically im a sheep and go with wat is expected/obvious....u others (notibly kayt and min) dont! but thats jsut me...anyway...yes ill try and read the rest so i can say somethin more to the current topic...but i think that ties in with wat shadow outcast has said - if u dont give it a go ull never see what can truely be offered.

i actually think that Matthew and Dragon aren't a real couple. Dragon was infatuated with Matthew, but i don't think he really saw her in the same way..
