Awe, poor Kayt! My friend came home from Canberra for the holidays, so I got a big earful about how freezingly cold it is down there. It's been cold in the Illawarra too, but no where near that bad, so I guess I can't complain too much. ooo, my mum bought me gloves today!! *Gets way too excited* Ahem, sorry, but they are cool. They're fingerless, so I can wear them on the computer while typing, and still keep my hands warm! ;D And I love storms too! Especially big lightning ones. They rock! ;D

*shrugs*
I guess... it's just occured to me!
I know we've all been agreeing that I'm Miryum, but not in the real world. In the cyberworld, sure. But in real life, when you get right down to it, I guess...
I'm Dameon...
*shrug* Sweetie, I was Dameon in my heartbreaking experience too I was totally in the same place as you - love isn't worth it, sure you'll miss out on the good times but they're far outweighed by the bad times. I hated the thought of a relationship with anyone and cut myself off from my male friends just to be safe (because it was always the friends who I'd end up falling for - I like to fall in love with the person's mind and personality, not their body). And considering how poorly everything played out in relationships, I didn't trust my judgement in that regard anymore. The only people who started to drag me out of it were my girl - friends. One of them had been in - and gotten through - the same thing I'd been through only about 10 times worse. She told me a couple of really important things. 1) we're not perfect - so don't be so hard on yourself. 2) you deserve to be happy. 3) boys are stupid. But they can also be funny and lots of fun to hang around with. That's what they keep telling me now when I get worried about my boyfriend - just have fun. And I think you're Miryum in the sense that you fight passionatly for what you believe in!! Including Rushton! "Don't worry Dameon, we'll fight for you!!!!"

Just lately I became slightly involved with an acquaintance of mine and began to have feels for me... We were starting to become friends and I was thinking "Oh no, not again" but I KNEW he had the same sort of feelings for me.. No I don't know what exactly went wrong but I asked him immediatley if he was interested in me so that I knew where I stood... He said not at this point in time... WHY?!? I don't know but I wanted him to fight for me and be strong enough to show me his feelings to get the ball rolling. We are now VERY GOOD FRIENDS and I hate myself for letting another one slip though my fingers (I've been really emotional about the whole thing because still I don't know where I stand) That's why when I read about Rushton's 'fight' for Elspeth I think it's romantic... He hasn't been aarid to show Elf he has loved for a long time and even she has known that... I wouldn't call it possessive (although the psycho Daemon supports seem to think so!) I'd call it a desire... To love her and fight to protect her and keep her from harms way... P.S. Min I'm shocked to see your daemon supporter... and I though we would get along!!! hahahaha ;D Glynna, you're totally stronger than anyone I know for coming right out and asking him where you stood. I guess here's where I contradict everything I've said so far I've said since the 'experience' that I'll never go out with anyone who doesn't think I'm worth fighting for. However, I if someone fought for me the way Rushton does - getting clingy and possessive - I'd probably get a restraining order! You won't turn me to Rush that easily!

See now there have been a new development in the man situation!!! Ah HA... On the weekend after football he asked if I was going out into town to watch the sport and have a few drinks ( this is not uncommon) and at the time I said I'd see what I felt like once I'd got home and whatever... So I eventually decided to go out, and while we were out I the group he was suposed to be coming with turned up without him so I assumed he had decided not to come out... Not long later and still very early in the night I was getting real tired real quick so I decided to go home (I was pretty bored anyway) After getting home... I came on here and checked the latest and then went to bed... I must have been very tired because I slept through my phone ringing about 10 minutes after my head hit the pillow... IT WAS HIM!!!! He left a message on my phone saying - " I must have just missed you. We can catch up next time" now at first I thought I was taking it the wrong way... but he's never sent me a message before when he's been out! So my mind has been racing since then so much I had a nightmare dream about him last night (WEIRD!) but thats for another thread... So I don't know! I'd love to have him come after me but I'm afraid I may have taken one little SMS the wrong way and it has flipped my world upside down yet again... I'm hopeless in love and I feel like it may continue! P.s. The next time I see him after the message is TONIGHT so i'll keep you updated!

GLYNNA!!! I know this sounds like silly game playing but LET HIM CHASE YOU!!! The best thing was you not answering his call! Woohoo!! You sound like you know what you're doing, I'll just sit and clap and celebrate from the sidelines! Be careful and yeah I guess what you said in your post - don't read too much into it (but still have hope). Another bit of advice from my friends is to prepare for the worst - but expect the best. YAY!!!

MIN! I'd already prepared for the worst and was dealing with it... Up until 4 nights ago I was very content with admiring (or lusting) from a far and now this has arrived... So tonight I got to training and he's there and I find myself paying more attention to him cause at the start of the session he FLIRTS with me!!! but by the end of the night you couldn't tell if he was pulling any moves cause I was all over him like some desperado thinking that If I don't pay him attention he'll losse interest in me... Why? Cause I've had so many bad experiences with other men in the past... Why can't I be that inderpentant s*xy as hell woman (that looks like she doesn't give a stuff) when I'm around someone that shows interest in me? Cause I'm the detacted type every other time... AARRRGGGHHHHH!!! I'm sick of this... But the saga goes on! p.s. sorry to all the random people who are reading about some idiot in Brisbane pooring her heart out... I need to get somethings off my chest... p.p.s. GO RUSHTON!!! ;D

GLYNNA! lol Someone else told me that guys have a worse fear of rejection than girls. I find that impossible...I've refused to ever ask anyone out because it petrifies me! I'm no good on advice, you need to speak to my advisor (lol, friend who's good at relationships!) Xtine! My tactic though was to always make them feel comfortable talking to you - you know, ask them lots of questions, and (sometimes pretend to) be interested in what they have to tell you...but then, I was always going for the know their mind tactic before anything else. I'd just try sus him out...if you build this tremendous knowledge of each other and friendship, then you'll feel like a relationship made from it is extra-special. Just be you though, because if you change yourself to get him, when the penny drops he'll wonder where the girl he asked out has gone!! Don't know if any of this helps I'm sure you know what you're doing! PS yeah, sorry to everyone else on this board...unless some of the random advice helps you out too!! PPS: We need to organise a Brissy meet!

Tis fine i get along with guys but terrified of them when it comes to approching them about relationships. Esp. when i really like the guy. Yes we are admiting defeat that they will never be togetther but are instead supporting that they should be together.
Go dameon!

Precisely what Elfseeker said, we're supporting the fact that they'd be much better suited to each other, and much more attuned to each others needs. I guess Elspeth & Rushton being together shows that if the wrong combination of people get together they REALLY have to try to keep it together. I just wish Rush wasn't so selfish and self-absorbed "poor me, poor me, I haven't got any talent, I think I'm going to go make Elspeth jealous with Freya" Sorry, i'm giving him a rather rough deal at the moment...but Kayt's other post about when we realised Dameon loved Elspeth has reminded me how harsh Rush can be. He's still a good person, just not a type I'd want anything to do with. In real life, I'd make that boy as uncomfortable as possible around me just to unnerve him.
