YAy! Min you have joined the battle! i am seeing my support in a whole new light thanks to you!
My first beliefe was that things worked out a little too easy for Rushton and Elf. Trials result in the purest love look a dameon what he has gone through. Rushton is perfect too perfect. Flaws hide true beauty. Dameon has a flaw blindness it makes him more astute. He is more aware of people and thier feeling it helps being an empath but he can give elf in my opinion a lot mor thn rushton.

And it's not that Rushton's NOT a beautiful person. Rush is still one of the good guys, it's just the way he went about it - his trying to cage Elf in Farseekers, then mourning for her when there was a job to be done (a true leader would realise the time for mourning is after the battle), then being all stupidly standoffish to her, overly possessive...making her jealous with Freya (I'm not sure if that was his intention) and feeling he wasn't worthy because of his lack of talent...he's just a big SOOK!

KSLoh yeah.... the always get what i want thing seemed so passionate when i was engrossed, but mentioned out of tht context, i would get a teensy bit annoyed if a guy said that to me. BUt on the other hand, lets remember that it was sort of a double entendre (sp?) for how he was going to give his best to make obernewtyn save for everyone, and try to make elspeth his. I think that Elspeth isn't right for Dameon, the girl who cannot open her heart yet, go with the man who is all heart.. i dont konw... i just think that there should be someone who is differnt, better for Dameon. That or he will be like those charaters in Shakespeare that are just not meant to have neone, which would be sad. |

This will be my first foray into this debate outside of msn conversations with Brydie, so be gentle, kay?  I've gotta say that I'm a Rushton for Elspeth girl. Not jsut because I like Rushton, I love Dameon too, but, especially because I love Dameon I support Rushton. I jsut dont think Elspeth would give Dameon the love he deserves, even if they were together. Lets face it, she can be pretty selfish sometimes, and I think Dameon would give too much without getting enough in return. Their relationship is already like that at times. Well, that's just my opinion, and I hope it made sense to you all. |

well each person reacts differnetly and cope differnetly whne the person they love doesnt love them back -or they think they dont love them back. its jsut a personal thing so u cant use it to say rushton is worse fro elf then dames ro vis versa. well thats my opionon. and anyway elf needs the 'inteh face' stuff...shes so dam blind to things that dames love is goin unnoticed cos he hasnt acted like rushton - ok im losing wat my point was. in anycase elf and rushton have similar personas but they're different enough. so i think they suit. elfs strong will and lack of compassion (well expressing it) will hurt dames...she tends to go from hate to jeoulsy and such never really teh emotion of love...so i cant see how dames would cope. feels unfair to me...

*grins* couldn't have said it better, Jessie, Ethereal.  Dameon and Elspeth are too different to eachother. Remember when Elf kept hurting Dameon becuase of her strong feelings? What would it be like if they were together all the time? Dameon's shield would have to be up constantly... Rushton and Elf!!! |

i just dont think that there is a character who is right for Dameon at the moment.

And it would be hard, because he can't farseek, and he couldn't understand her sign-language either. In fact, he couldn't speak to her at all. He could only communicate with her through her emotions. Which I suppose he might be willing to do
But he'd have to kill Daffyd first!!!

ummm...what about Dragon? He was the only one she'd speak to at the end of TKP...her and Mattie had a bit of a fight, and she doesn't remember him anyway... Angina and Miky did the whole sleeping beauty play with Dames and Dragon in it... |

i thought of Dragon as well, i guess when she becomes a bit more sane...
she would wonderful when she is refined, Dameon and the Red Queen, it would be fitting, but she is young isn't she? OH well, it ocld be soo romantic
