Rushton is many things - caring isn't one of them!  Who's the more caring out of Dameon/Rushton? Who actually listens to Elspeth instead of talking over her? Elspeth & Rushton's relationship is a joke. *laughs mightily* Dameon will win, because good things come to those good people who wait  |

but rushton is just a very passionate fool who doesnt no how to express his emotions/feeling properly cos elf is a lil so-n-so who cant show hers. of course hes gonna get frustrated and all protective - cos u have to grab elf nad restrict her for her to actually see wats goin on!!!!!!!!!! (if that makes sense which it prob doesnt)

Um...yes, of course I've read the forth book.
Elspeth seemed to miss Dameon quite a lot.
Dameon wrote Elspeth a lot of letters.
Rushton barely featured in the entire thing. Sure, Elspeth missed him too.
Dameon was beside Elspeth's bed when she woke, making sure she was ok.
Rushton was mad, then was too ashamed and nervous to speak to Elf in case she thought he was weak.
Despite the fact that Elspeth seems to have chosen Rushton, it doesn't seem to be enough for him. He has some massive insecurity issues...and won't confront her about them. He's always running away from them, and closing up, confusing Elspeth and making her turn to Dameon for help.
Hence Dameon has been there for her, more so than Rushton.

YAY FOR DAMEON!!!! He is ALWAYS there to comfort Elf, always there to help her and always will be! He knows herbetter than anyone else, and when she has a problem, it is NOT Rushton who she turns to!

Rushton's jealousy and insecurity HAS turned him mean, especially to his supposed 'conscience/best friend' Dameon. And even with Elspeth as his bondmate (are they officially bondmates?!) he's STILL not happy.
What will Elspeth have to do to make him happy - give him blood?! Give up her life's quest?!
Dameon is already happy with Elf exactly as she is. She won't need to change, she won't need to compensate for anyone - Dameon accepts that she in an exceptional person, loves her for who she is, and they both get on with their lives.
If they were togehter...it would result in a far happier, secure relationship.
C'mon Rushton fans...you can't deny that Rush is insecure and wants more from Elf than she can give. He wants everything - and Elspeth has more important things to do.

Rushton is the kind of guy who wants to change a girl and turn her into something she's not, just to make him happy.
Dameon is the kind of guy who loves a girl for who she is, and would never try to change her, or force her to love him.
Dameon's is an unselfish love. If she's happy, he's happy, and that's why he hasn't declared himself.
Rushton's is a selfish love, that tries to cage Elf and make her love him, which is why he DID declare it.
Yay for Dameon, The Better Man!

dames has the uper hand cos he nos wat elf is feeling with out having to de-code it! come on rushton has no hope of tellin how elf really feels cos she has no idea how to show it. dames can jsut feel it...so of course hes gonna be mroe secure cos he can tell wats goin on wit her! yes he nos her more, but thats jsut cos of his talent...but by understanding her elf confinds in him. now its not rushtons fault elf is hopeless...id be driving myself nuts too...even dames said elf was being harsh on him...so how the hell is rushton ment to no! he doesnt have a sixth sense so to speak!

KSLI don't understand you sometimes Kayt!!! U say if Elf is happy Dameon's happy. Well Elf is happy... with Rushton! So why is Dameon not happy?? Coz hes selfish!! Rushton is not the selfish one. Just because he loves someone so much hes scared to lose her. Well dont u worry he will lose her coz she has to go save the world doesn't she?? So we can all be happy!! augh! *diverts eyes from thread* KAYT you're so mean to poor rushton.... & so convincing! I will go for rushton- but he is rather possesive over elspeth but he isn't that horrible. It's not like he hasn't tried to be there for elf- Elspeth just pushed him away. Elf just felt more comfortable with dameon, because he was a close friend who is also neutral ground. ELSPETH is the git! she just pushed poor rushton away! eat that! rushton will prevail always |
