you say that dameon's a better person, possibly true.... *thinks* in fact it's probably true, but that doesn't matter because rushton's so passionate about everything. just look at farseekers where they're walking to the guild merge and she's all scared and whispers, "sutrium" BOOMB! there he is, all stong and manly, "yes, elf, sutrium, but it'll be ok, i'm buff, manly and TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!" (if you're currently confused and looking for that in the book, it's not actually written as speech, he says it with his eyes!)  rushton is so totally, completely, passionately in love with elf. dameon loves her but it's not the same. dameon's an angel, rushton's flesh and blood (and muscle) |

ahh.... but see this thread is not about who will end up with elf, but who is better FOR elf, which is obviously Dameon. After all how many issues are Ruston and Elf going to have, they're both emotionally bottled up and angsty people.

yes ... no I dont think they're like that either....
Not that there'd be a problem with it, but Dames does love Elf, that would be kinda weird.
And as much as it pains me to say it, I think they're just bethrothed, not bonded yet, we would have seen some sort of ceremony or mention if they were bonded yet! I mean, IC cant deprive us of that!

but Rushton made his move first, and he and Elspeth are really in love, so they should probably stay together.
