Obernewtyn Fan Fic

I'm hoping that members of FanFiction.net can help me out in a small campaign to get an "Obernewtyn" or "Isobelle Carmody" section added to FF.net. It's so frustrating - there are book categories on FF.net that only have four stories in them. If you do a search for Obernewtyn stories (via summaries), you come up with at least twenty-six stories. Surely, we deserve a category of our own!

I've already written twice to FF.net about this, using numbers and statistics and everything - to no avail. I just submitted a new request via the 'ticketing' system and it was given a 'low' priority. So, I'm hoping if they get six or ten similar requests, they might change their minds and give us a category. It's so annoying to be stuck in 'miscellaneous books' when there are heaps of Ober fanfics out there.

Unfortunately, you do have to be a member of FF.net (which is free) to submit a 'ticket'.

If you're interested in joining the campaign, go to this page HERE and follow the prompt to log in. Once the 'Submit a ticket' screen comes up, select New Category Request from the drop-down window next to Department and ask them ever so nicely for an "Obernewtyn" or "Isobelle Carmody" category. If you already have an Obernewtyn or IC story, mention it in the request. If you don't have an Obernewtyn or IC story, then you can imply that you'd be more inclinded to submit one if there was a proper category for it.

Thanks for anyone who takes part in this. You never know - it might actually achieve something!

I've already requested a section as well when I first signed up and started writing Ober fanfic so I'd better not do it again they'll think we're spamming them.

I'm wondering if they don't put up a section because IC is Australian and FF.net is primarily U.S. driven!? Grrr...

I have a couple of things up on FictionPress. A whimsical poem and an equally whimsical (and slightly absurd) short story. I have more things up on my website, but they're mostly exctracts of larger works.
