I just had a thought. I was playing mafia on my Venturer forum when it occured to me it could be cool to play with Obernewtyn people.
What mafia is is a forum-based game (although you can play it in real life, things change a little but it's still fun. it takes less time in real life) where you have characters, some people are mafia and some are townsperson. (Usually the person running it gives it a theme, the one I'm playing right now is Gang Show, but I reckon i could run one with a Ober theme)
What basically happens is there is night and day and during the night the mafia go an chose someone to kill and then during the day the remaining people try to work out who's mafia and who isn't. So, during the day everyone says they're townsperson but the mafia people are really mafia. Other people have other night abilities but that differs from game to game and each person is told their ability and what they know and who they are and stuff.
It's a really fun game and easy to get the hang of, even if it seems a little weird here. I could give you a rough example if you wanted.
Yeah, does anyone want me to run one or is this just one of my strange ideas? ;D If you do want me to we have to get somewhere for us to run and I'll need to know everyone who's playing.
Other people would be able to lurk, and I might tell them who's who if they asked, but only those still alive are able to post in the thread where the game is played.
