Belinda Emmet has passed away

Just wanted to post something here to note that Belinda Emmett, wife of Rove McManus, finally succumbed this morning to the breast cancer she had been fighting since 1998.

I dunno, I always thought if anyone could beat cancer, it would be Belinda. Tis very sad.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Emmett and McManus families. What a sad event.

thats so tragic! i read something a while ago where she was meant to be beating it, or the cancer was in remission or something...wow. i think i'm stunned.

She had breast cancer but it spread and became bone cancer.

She was only 32. While I find Rove McManus highly annoying, I am impressed, too. A lot of people would find it too much to deal with, making a commitment to someone they knew was dying, but he did it. I really admire him for that.

Awwww that's so sad. I feel so sorry for what her and her family had to go through just to end with her passing away anyway... Poor Rove... Only 32! That's horrible.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Belinda's passing.

She was an inspiration, fighting right to the last.

Sympathy to the families, especially Rove who (you could see) deeply loved his wife.

She seemed like such a wonderful person, and it's horrible that she died so young.
And I really like Rove too. He's very different to the Rove you see on T.V

My friend smsed me sat morning and i didnt beleive him... i had to go check it for myself... i thought she was in remission.... my heart goes out to their families. poor Rove must be grief stricken *grugs for them all* I always thought she would beat it .

Who is Belinda Emmett?

Tis always a sad time when anyone dies of cancer. A friend of mine recently had her father pass away due to cancer of the throat

she's a Australian semi-celebrity, a soap star from Home and Away and All Saints. She's also married to what I would call a real Aussie celebrity, Rove McManus, who hosts a talk show called Rove Live.

it's so sad! i was really shocked when i heard. she died so young...makes you think about life a little and how we don't have that long.

i really like Rove and feel so sorry for him. i can't help but think that maybe the pain would be lessoned if he had a child by her. but then, the child would be motherless. kinda a bad situation either way.

I didn't know who she was untill someone said it was Roves wife. Then i realised I didnt even know he was married. Strange a lot of people dont know who she was.

I think it's quite tragic. She was very pretty indeed and didn't she also sing? I head she has an unfinished album. I wonder if anyone will release it?
