Needing Handprints!

For those who don't already know, I'm studying fine art and printmaking/photography is my specialty .

This year I am basing a heap of my studio prac on patterns and fingerprints and handprints in particular. I'm putting together as large a database as I can of different prints.

So...

If any of you feel motivated (and have a printer/scanner at home) could you possibly take a scan of your hand and sned me the image.

You will not be identified in any of the artwork, I will be manipulating the images and magnifying them. The database is just for me, so I can identify where the prints came from and will be destroyed at the end of the year.

I sent you my hands...... I hope they don't dry out completely by the time they get to you. It's such a bastard finding a box that would keep them fresh as well as transport them all the way to Perth....

is it safe to scan ur hands? iv noticed the scanner at work gets fairly warm. i can photocopy my hand prints and then scan them and then email them if its not safe to scan them.i might end up doing that anyway cos the scanner seems to take so much longer than the photocopier.

it is safe to scan your hands. Just remember to clean your finger prints off the glass afterwards
