It sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. That was the scariest bit, because they keep their status page on a separate server, for times when the LiveJournal network is down. And when the status page doesn't work, then you really have to worry! It seems to be fixed now, thank goodness. I hope it lasts.  Also: Subtle, Em. Subtle.  |

Is it just me, or do a lot of things on the internet seem to be breaking lately? Work internet is simply C...r...a...w...l...i...n...g today and we've got a 2GB line. And my home internet last night kept blinking out, dying, cancelling itself, etc. And now LJ? Someone's hacking the internet, aren't they? |

Though saying that, when we have a lot of students in our connection slows down considerably. Maybe someone at your company was dowloading large files? You could also try clearing the cache on your net server |

I have to admit - I don't get MySpace. Every time I go there, I see every single rule of web design broken into tiny, tiny pieces. There are a few decent sites, but they're few and far between. I'm so sick of clicking on a MySpace link and suddenly hearing someone else's damn music coming through my headphones or intruding on the music I'm listening to. Gah! Give me LJ any day. It's a great way to meet people who share your interests and there are communities for EVERYTHING! |

MySpace irritates me as well, they always look so crammed, like the idea is to fit as much as you can into one spot. That and i tried to sign up once and for some reason it wouldn't let me.
Gimme LJ any day with it's easy to understand layouts and prettiness I love going about looking at other people's LJ designs.
As to what to write about, write about anything: literally. Once you get started it's hard to stop, too. You start thinking about LJ at random moments. Things happen and you start to go "hey, that'll write up nice in my LJ".
Anyway, all the more fun for all.
