Wow, Egypt! That's definitely somewhere I'd like to visit. I've promised my mum that when I'm rich and successful I'll take her on a Nile cruise.
I hope you have a great time!

Lol! I shall be taking lots of photos.
I won this holiday last year, so all i've had to pay is the airport taxes for Laura and I (£99 each).
We fly Eurotraveller class with British Airways, and stay for seven nights at the Savoy Hotel in Sharm El Shiek (on the tip of the Red Sea peninsula).
Its supposed to be about 40deg C whilst we're out there so im taking lots of suncream.
Don't worry Siryn, i shan't be using any dodgy toilets!

I answered a question in a competition, though i can't remember what the question was now.
I'm so looking forward to it. Pity i can't scuba dive. The Red Sea is suppoed to be one of the best places in the world for that. Scuba diving is expensive though. Can't afford it at the moment

WOOT good score DO! Well have a heap of fun! You might find that it's cheaper to do some things over there right now, after the bomb... *feels awful for saying it* but it's true. Nothing like terrorism to bring a price down....
oh gods, i need to wash my mouth out...
all the same, hope you and Laura have a great time! Don't buy any stuffed toys, they get stuffed with interesting things.... but go kick your feet up and have a great time! And i demand photos!

Thanks. I'm not too worried about the bombs. I'm going to sit on the beach for some of the time, and swim in the sea and one of five pools! Woot! Probably do some shopping as well. Its supposed to be very cheap out there. We're both looking forward to it very much.
Lol! I shall take los of photos. I took far too many when i went to Turkey!

There were some that looked dead, but no real dead people. From where we were, Luxor and Cairo were a plane flight away, and we couldn't afford the extra £160

Sorry for the double post. Here's a small selection of pics from the holiday: This is the view from our balcony This is a Dolphin called Steve who we got to swim with early in the week. They are amazing creatures! This is Steve performing for us This is the lower of the three swimming pools in the hotel This is a shot of the coral reef from the floating pontoon This is the Savoy's private beach, taken from the pontoon. To swim in the sea you had to use the pontoon as you weren't allowed to walk across the coral This is the Sinai Desert. We went on a quad bike safari across it. These are some of the quads we were using and you can see some of the rock hills in the background This is the Beduin encampment where we had tea before heading home

We saw one camel in the desert, but there weren't that many around. Sharm El Sheik is more touristy than traditional.
I didn't really notice any particular smell.
We we're too far away from Cairo or Luxor to see any ancient monuments or mummies. When i can afford it, i'll prob go to Cairo for a holiday.
If any of you get the chance, swim with dolphins. Its a truly amazing experience!
