As of late my posts have been well, in defiance of the message board lore. I am terribly sorry and have currently read up on it. Elspeth thank you for noting it to me, i will reprieve my actions. Sorry for the singe responses, odd threads, and such on and so forth. Please forgive my actions. In other news, I will be getting my drivers permit this weekend. I passed PT in civil air patrol and have been promoted. And i got my mp3 player back from my sister (with the back broken off but back nontheless). I am over halfway through with the ashling and very sad on the inside. Why did Matthew have to "die" and was that really Ariel on the slaver/herder boat? and lastly, does matthew come back? he's cool. C/AMN Steven Athananasopolis

hmmm.. it must be a sister thing to take mp3 players. I lent mine to my sister 2months ago and it still hasn't been given back, so I've taken her favourite white skirt hostage

Thanks for the apology, Grunty.
Elspeth is not normally too strict, but it's great that you've taken her warning on board. Obernet is a fun place, and if eveyone follows our comparatively lenient rules, we all have a lot more fun!
As for your comments about Ashling, I cried when Matty got taken. On the other hand, mmm... buff enslaved Matty.
Rushton: Your fangirling reaches disturbing new heights every day.
Silence! You're just jealous cos I hate you.
Rushton: Yes. However do I sleep at night?
*pushes Rushton into pig pen*
Ahem... anyway, I'm not telling you if Matty comes back or not. That would spoil your surprise, would it not?

I was so traumatised by the Matty thing that I'd completely forgotten it had happened by the time I picked up The Keeping Place. I had to go back to Ashling and re-live the trauma all over again.

Thanks for the apology Grunty... no hard feelings! Also it's tempting when you're new to get a bit carried away!
You'll find that the scene when Matty gets taken away is one of the all-time favourites of everyone on this site, if not THE all-time favourite (and many of us cried... myself included).
He does come back but not in ways you'd expect.... you'll have to lay your hands on a copy of The Keeping Place to find out!
