Snowboarding

Yesterday I went snowboarding for the very first time, in Les Diablerets in Switzerland. NOT somewhere I'd recommend for beginners, I spent most of the day on my bum! I learnt how to stand up on my board and do some simple turns, though. Today I HURT! But I had lots of fun and can't wait to go again.

I was wondering, are there any other snowboarders/ skiers here? I'm guessing there isn't much opportunity for it in Aus...

Not me...but Paul's a die-hard snowboarder.
I think Miska also either skis or snowboards?

Tried skiing once...hated it I ended up getting run into by too many other people.

I've heard the ski fields are the best up your way anyway, kangaruth!! Congrats on the first day of snowboarding!

I've been snowboarding with my brother twice.
Its hard, but fun when you get the hand of it.
I prefer skiing.....except when you fall on your bum. It really hurts!

I'd imagine it hurts when you fall on your bum whichever you're doing! I can't wait to go again, though.

Ohhh!! i so want to go snowboarding!!! ive only been skiing and i sucked cos my feet slid apart. im better at balancing on my side than i amstanding striaght up so i gunna give it a go!!
