Nervous out of my pants

Okay. So i am in a band and yeah.....but we are doing our first official public performance tomorrow and i am sh*tting myself!

I mean, they cant actually expect me to sing in front of them!(well they do), but i am soooo afraid.

I mean, i can sing well and people say so at school, BUT THIS IS A FREAKING PUBLIC PERFORMANCE!

I mean, i dont think i can handle it.

Can anyone help?

Good luck Kaylan! I'm sure u will be fine. They do say that if u get nervous on stage to just imagine evryone in the audience naked, but I reckon that would be even scarier!

mythbusters proved that seeing people naked makes things worse so dont do that one kaylan... just take deep breaths... not that im a preformer or anything so i cant really give good advice but i think that if u just pretend ur singing in front of the mirror and that it isnt public might help...

if you have done any drama, focusing skills you use to get into character are really good for helping with that sort of thing. I always got into a character of sorts for oral presentations at school, which made things a lot easier.

okay then. Today is the day. My band and I are performing at 9:30 and its 9:00 now. I guese i'll just take deep breaths and relax and stuff.
I tried picturing the audience naked before but i just got even more scared cause i was like;'how am i supposed to sing in front of naked people?'
I used to sing in choir, but that was a group of people!
Well...i'll just try my best!

Ahhhh, I have the same problem, kind of. I'm the vocalist in a band too... I'm way too scared to sing in public though. It's hard enough in front of my band. They think I'm stupid for being afraid but still... eep. Good luck though! I hope you do perfectly.

Our band changed its name.

TO THE MOST STUPID UNHUMAN REVOLTING SO ANNOYING SH*TTYEST ARBGHHHHHGHDEFIO WVKETGWKAHF

It is now called Psychadellic Suppository.

out of interest what was the original name? (i think im a bit slow off the mark here but any way) Don't worry too much about the name... if people like your sound and the way you preform and so on they won't care wat name your band has!

The original name was Withered Silence. I'll give my friend withered silence!

Dont worry about it- did she actually block you or just not talk to you??? Coz I do that with some of my friends sometines, I just sign into MSN to see if I have any emails and see if I feel like talking and then I just sorta go off it if i dont feel like talking...

Oh and by the way, I liked the original name better too.
