I just got offered the job i that i had an interview for aon Friday!!

In about for weeks time, i'll be working for Independent News and Media, and being paid £22k for the privalege! Plus i'll be in the Canary Wharf area of London (for those that know the area). THey publish newspapers in the UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand (and own some radio stations in Aus as well)

The only two bad things with it are:

1. that its shift work (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 4pm-12am and 6pm-2am) plus one weekend on in four. The last train for my town leaves at 11.30pm, which means i'll have to drive into London for the last two shifts.

2. I'll be leaving all my work mates behind! I've known them all for 6 years, and its like having an extended family!

But anyway, WOOT!!!!

Congratulations, Dark One! It will be hard to leave your old friends, though. When I left my other job, I'd only been there two years, but it was so hard to say goodbye to everyone. But you have a better job! Huzzah!

Thanks guys! Don't know how often i'll be able to go on here when i start working there, but we'll see.

Min: My duties consist of 1st and 2nd line support for about 300 macs (running OS 9) and about 300 pc's (running XP), plus printers and other perihperals, mobile phones and blackberry stuff. No server support this time!

i'll find out more when i start
