Yes!!! Obernet is getting it's own newsletter!
Not everyone can read every bit of news all the time, and let's face it, sometimes people can't be bothered seeking out news updates. So from now on, 4 times a year, we're going to email it directly to everyone at Obernet!
Sounds exciting, huh?
All: Um... yay?
That's right!
So, what will this exciting new newsletter contain? Well, the following, for a start:
Sections for each Guild to give news. All four Guilds will give a brief summary of what they've been up to. Now the Dreamweavers will have a place to introduce their new squirrel, for example!
A News and Happenings section, where updates to the site, upcoming events and important unmissable information will be kept.
Competition News: Yes! News of which competitions are on will be provided, as well as news about the winners of previous competitions. You'll never miss a competition again!
Member Profile: Just for fun, each edition, a member (or two) will be profiled. Someone who won a competition, someone who is chosen at random, whatever? We can all learn things we didn't know about our members.
Isobelle Watch: Information about what IC is up to, like appearances, book launches and so forth. We'll all know what IC is doing, all the time! (but not in a creepy stalkerish way).
PLUS, members will be allowed to submit their own articles and advertisments. Such as:
+Ads for Obernet related things (such as message boards or competitions)
+Articles about Obernet (maybe thoughts as a new member or an account of Moonfair or a Meet)
+Articles about IC (people can tell us the story about meeting her).
+And all kinds of other fun stuff, of course, if we have the room for it!
So: Does anyone have any suggestions for what else MUST be in an Obernet newsletter? What would you want to get out of it? Keep in mind that it has to be kept to a length that will make it convenient for everyone to read, though!
And what are we going to call it? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE submit some nice names for our newsletter, then I can do a poll and you can pick one!

Oh, and do you want a pretty, online version of the newsletter. If you get emailed the whole thing, just as a text email, would you like a link to a more decorative version with pictures and sparkles? Because we can do that...
So. Comments, questions, thoughts PLEASE! We MUST have your input on this, because if you're not getting what you need, no one will read it! (and then I will be sad...)
