Yep, I believe it is true. I think she'll be there from about 2-3pm. It's part of the Melbourne Writers Festival.

I was lucky... I got the very last space for her Glen Waverley library appearance I'm so incredibly excited! I've never met her before. Guess who's dressing up as Elspeth dressed as Elaria... My theory is that if people can dress as Jedi to see a Star Wars movie, and people can dress as Harry/Hermione to see a Harry Potter movie, why shouldn't I be able to dress as a character dressed as a gypsy lol! IC will probably think I'm weird but oh well... I spent my whole high school life being persecuted for being an X-Files weirdo... Elaria

Ahhhh... I knew there was some sorta catch...
Elaria, you said you "got the very last space for her Glen Waverley library appearance" what did you mean when you said that? Sighz... that means that I won't get to meet her right? o.O no fair! lol... but my fault for finding out only 2 days before the actual appearance.
Did it cost to get that space? How did you find out about it? Ah well, let us know how it goes k?

I heard about it at Carmody-Online and I was all set to just rock up but then (luckily) I read another post with a link to the library website and it said "limited places: bookings essential". Now I HATE ringing people I don't know but I set my fears aside and rang straight away. When I asked the lady if there were still spaces available she said they had one (which was fine because there is only one of me).
Oh, and it was free. I think it's just so it's not too crowded or something.

it might be worth going anyways! they said the same thing about the Little Fur lauch - we all rang up and put our names down and sent them off to Isobelle herself, but they didnt check anything at the actual venue on the day!
