That is so very very very very very funny.... Damn, it would be a hard choice to let it go or not... maybe finish reading it, then hand it back....

wheee!!! hahaha. I heard that someone near the Brit publishers had leaked the plot too, because a load of people started betting that a certain major character dies...I hope they're wrong

I heard in this one we have to assume major people would die anyway. JKR said something along those lines, and let's be honest, the theme of the book is Death and they are in a war.... as long as no one kills off Lupin! If they do, i don't know what i'll do!! Or Oliver!! AH! maybe i shouldn't read this book, i want to think of htem all as having happy lives, and i don't think that is going to happen if i continue reading.... kinda like a catch-22 almost.... not good.....

How could the store "accidentally sold copies ahead of the release date" ;D I don't think it's possible, how clueless would you have to be? I'm very mad at people who do that! I like the whole idea that everyone opens the boxes at the exact same time... and you see excited kids (i would be one if I could ) ripping open the boxes on TV. THat doesn't mean however, that I wouldn't read it if I somehow got a copy in my hands, but I'd feel really guilty doing it

I'm so excited, i'm gonna try and be one of the people who opens the boxes first (in my store ). We got our shipment in today. Hehe . my manager said we're not allowed to open the boxes till 9:01 am on Saturday. I'll be working for a whole half an hour with the boxes sitting there beofre i can see it.. And i so would have read it! As of you would take it back. muhuhahah!

Hand your pre-release copy back and get a signed bookplate, limted edition t-shirt, and of course your book at 12:01. Oh, and the warm fuzzy feeling of 'preserving the magic of Harry Potter'. A tougher call for some than for others.
>a load of people started betting that a certain major character dies...I hope they're wrong
Chances are they're not because of the amount of money they were betting in a short amount of time in the town and surrounding areas. Kind of obvious that someone saw the manuscript since it was all centred around the place where it was being printed.
Discretion, people, discretion!

I was wondering if summat like this would happen - doesn't anyone remember that with the last book, a couple of truckloads of the books were stolen, and were being sold on the black market?? I nearly died laughing, - children's books on the black market...wot's the world come to?? FtS

PMSL!!! oh, that's funny Fred...
I was just thinking, with the fourth one, i got it before the release date, the night before. Target had put out their stand early, but it wasn't as big back then... those were the days.... *squeeks the rocking chair once* I'm sure they'd be sued if they did that again...

Wow you were so lucky getting it early Flit!! I got my copy like the rest of the good people at 9:01 But like there is so much hype over this book and I am sure as you said Flit that Target would get sued if they did that again

The first four books were all hype, but when one book comes out by its self then it's over - ripe.
