I had the worst day today. Last night I pulled a muscle from moshing too much at the battle of the bands,so I stayed home by myself. But silly old me thought is would be fun, just sit at the computer all day.But boy,was i wrong!
First of all I recieved a telemarker call.I love making wierd noises or scaring the person on the other line.So I started whispering:
'you know u want me.You all do.YOU ALL DO!,yeah' then I started coughing, and the guy on the other line asked if I was okay. Then I got angry and told him that this was a private nomber. He hung up.
After that I got hungry,I went to the cupboard - but It was bare.We hadn't been shopping, and I hadn't any money to buy anything down at the shops.
Then the microvave wouldn't work,so I couldn't even cook a tiny bag of noodles, which wasn't even worth cooking.
Then my brother came home and layed on the floor for a while and completely ignored me so I threw a pillow at him and we had this huge pillow fight. It wasn't noice. He got all cranky and threw a pencil at me and walked out of the house. I heard a bang outside and I looked out the window and saw that a car had nearly run over Alex.I got cranky and he jumped in the pool with all his clothes on.He was trying to pull me in,but I hate water so I splashed water at his face and ran inside. So I came onto Ober.net and now I am happy.
Anyone else have the worst day?

I had an exam today. It was bad. If I ever graduate, and you have a problem with your lungs, DONT come and see me. I don't get the lungs.

chin up, peoples. Just think, you could be living in a country that didn't have the internet, then you wouldn't be able to come on here! No more of this comparing how bad one anothers lives are! Kaylan - smile Dani - be careful! Lucky girl though, getting to go horse riding. Do you own your own horse/s? Lix, what kind of job are you after? Something always comes up - like you said it always happens for a reason! Avvy - good luck on passing the aforementioned exam! Just think, if you don't pass, perhaps you weren't meant to be a doctor of the lungs and I'm sure there's many MANY things on that course you're better at.

Think positive! I had the worst interview of my life once, rang Mum when I got home and absolutely bawled down the phone...I reckoned that not only had I not got the job, they thought I was the biggest idiot on two legs...
Call waiting beeps come on the phone as I am bawling, turns out to be the interviewers, telling me I got the job!
Never can tell.......
but hugs either way!

Well, i had a very nasty day today. I sat down and worked out how much i was in debt by. It turned out to be £41k! I didn't even think i was close to that! I hardly earn enough at the moment to pay that sort of money back, though i do have a job interview in London on Monday eve, so hopefuly i'll get that, and lots more money...

*falls over* I hope things work out Dark One....
Luck for the interviews guys! And i understand totally Lix, i have been to so many damn interviews in my life... and i've only been in the working world for under 5 years, yet i've had about.... well over 20 interviews, and all of them were "Nos" except for three of them. Well... when i say "No" i mean, i never heard back from them. I hate that! When you go into an interview, you wait by the phone for days aftre, and they don't even bother to call you back to say "Sorry, but no." I did most of my hunting last year, that was when my Target job was really gettng me down, and i was too expensive for them (16 year olds are cheaper) but i was in that weird age bracket. I was 19, and so too old for places like Target/Kmart/Woolies etc, but too young for the other stores. I was told point blank by someone that they only really employ people over 21. Myer says the same thing, really, they want the young ones, so they'll employ the 16 year olds, but then they won't usually employ people between 17-20, but will employ 21 year olds... so i was stuck in the middle without a job for a while. Then i was lucky ACTTAB picked me up for a temp job, and then employed me permanently in their telebetting. And i tell you, it's the best job i have ever had. Yes, they are evil employers as they are gamblers (as Clare keeps telling me ) but i don't have to deal with people face-to-face, i can read during work, or write, (or sketch cartoons which is what i do lately) and study.... yes.... study So, Lix, something will come along. I was so damn depressed for those months when i got knock back after knock back. But if you stick with it, something will come out of it. Just try not to take it personally (this is the hard part) don't think it's something wrong with you, because the minute you start thinking that it's hard to stop thinking it, and in interviews they pick up on such self-hatred really easily. So, just try to think of it as not being the job for you. and that something better is just around the corner!

...they don't even bother to call you back to say "Sorry, but no." That's the very thing I used to hate about real estate agents. When we were looking for a place a few years ago, we'd put in an application and then wait to hear... which we never did. It was so frustrating. Only one place actually rang to say we hadn't got the place. One out of about ten agents. Bah. ;D

same thing happened to me. You were expecting a call about a job interview/unit and they wouldn't even have the decency to let you know you hadn't gotten it! So you know what I used to do? Call them myself, and make them confront me rather than weasle out of telling me no not that I was confrontational about it I'd call and say something like 'just wondering how my application was going...' etc. hehe.
